Since catle breeder is using cross breeding, they should be the agents of acquisition. E clearly explains that since catcle breeder is doing something they are acquiring something. Moreover D is also passive. D doesn't provide clear meaning.

HI All, First of all I would like to thank all of you without whose guidence my verbal score wouldn't have been decent. I know I didn't get aq very good score but still I can call this decent. My special thanks to Erin, Karma, Rama, Bob and score800. One new thing which I got in my test was 4 bold faced questions. I think those questions took lots of time. Also RC passages were too lengthy (1st - 48lines, 2nd, 3rd and 4th all more than 95 lines). Thanks to you guys as I found SC simple. (I mostly used SC section of GMAT forum, I think that was my mistake, I should have gone through CR section also regularly). But I still think 660 is a decent score. Hey Rama, I think 'so...that' construction can be used with adverb also. Please have a look at this OG example. This is OG - 177th question. So poorly educated and trained are many young recruits to the United States work force that many business executives fear this country will lose its economic preeminence. Here also 'So' is used to show effectiveness or standard of education. Am I missing something here? Please correct me.

Confused between C and E. Problem with C is its not parallel first part is in active voice but second is in passive. Shouldn't C be something like: not only by the foods patients eat but also by time when the patients eat (the foods) Problem with E is ambiguous reference of 'it'. I think E would have been fine without 'it'. But given these choices I will go with C. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Bob, I was going through few of the Kaplan's explanation and got confused again. Look at these sentences: The Boston office contributes less to total national sales than any other U.S. branch. And Kaplan says above is wrong. According to Kaplan, comparison is between what the Boston office contributes to what any other U.S. branch contributes. It further says that in GMAT english, the most elegant way to fix this is to insert does after U.S. branch. So corrected sentences will be: The Boston office contributes less to total national sales than any other U.S. branch does. Please let us know what to follow in actual GMAT test. I couldn't get any OG example based on this concept.

oooos, I think you are right. C sounds good to me now.

'Me' is objective pronoun (Pronoun which receive the action). When making comparison, make sure that pronouns are in the same form. Here comparison is against subject form of pronounn 'She', usage of 'me' will be wrong. One more simple example can be : He is taller than I (CORRECT) He is taller than me (WRONG)

I think E should be the best choice. Please correct me if I am wrong.

'She runs faster than I' or 'She runs faster than me' both are wrong. Since here comparison is not between 'She' and 'I'. Comparison is the way they run. She runs faster than I do - > correct She runs faster than do I -> correct.

E is the best option. Usage of 'him' is wrong here. So A, B and D out. 'and people more polished than he was' is awkward in C.

Hey Karma can you please explain this a little further. I never saw 'have had....' usage anywhere. If possible can you five 1 or 2 examples. This is new to me.

E is direct and parallel. E is best option. 'In part..' doesn't fit here so A and B out. C Changes meaning. D passive structure.
