  1. Hi all, I took the GMAT today and got a score of 540 (Q 43 V 21). My score may be low for most of you guys. But since I needed only 440(have a high GPA), 540 was really a big relief for me. I didn't take full-lenght test prior to preperation. But after I got done I took the following tests and scores. PP1 540 PR1 490 PR2 430 PR3 540 PP2 540 I guess 540 loved me so much. :) I just want to thank every one of you guys for informing the others and thank you Erin for such a wonderful website and thank you Ursula for helping out with everything.(Ursula, I still have your post that brought my hopes up and kept me studying. :) ) I don't know what to say about the exam though. Since there are people with really great scores, whould I would say would be a little small compared to those. But what the heck!! Quantative was a little bit tough compared to [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. I got Standard Devision question at the 3rd question of Quantative section. I was shocked. There were 3-4 probability questions. Snce my undergradute degree is in Statistics, I got them right. But I think because of some miscalculations, I may have gotten only 43 in Quant. Verbal was same as the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. I got 4 RC and 3 of them were 40 lines, and one of them were 60 lines. Nobody may believe me, but is there a possibility that one could see the questions from [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] in actual GMAT? Because I can swear that I answered some, especially SC, questions without even reading the question. I went thru the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] and PR for preperation. I stayed away from Kaplan as much as possible. Anyway, thats all from me know. Even though it's only 540, I just wanted to share my happiness with everybody. I hope all of you guys the scores you need, even more than that. I wish you all good luck with your tests. Thank you...
  2. Gmat168, I see your point. But how can we know that corner is 90 degrees, so that the bottom of the triangle can be 2rt2?
  3. You asked my question. dude. Really? What do we need to take to the test center? Can we have bottle of water? or just pencil&eraser, nothing else?
  4. I wouldnt even bother with it. Just working on what you are good at is the best thing.
  5. I studied the Princeton Review book and used those techniques on [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. You dont have to buy the last version of PR. I used and still use the 2003 one. You can find it on eBay for a pretty good price.
  6. I just took PP1 and got 540. Q 46(84%) V 19(15%) I recalled 2-3 SC answers from [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] though. But still, if PP is a really good indicator, like everybody says, I still have 100 points allowance. :) I'll take the first PR tomorrow and see what will happen.
  7. Avila University-MBA in Accounting and Baker University-MBA in Finance
  8. Getting 440 is not really the issue here. The problem is how to avoid this evil stress.Im at the last chapter of [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] (SC) and will start taking full-length tests everyday next week. I hope I get used to it and beat up this freaking anxiety.:(
  9. Mine is on Sept. 28th, too and will be applying for MBA in Accounting. Good luck.. :)
  10. I can't get rid of this stress. I take the GMAT in my dreams evernight. Im sick of it. I dont know how to stop it. Does anybody out there have the same problem? I have an appointment for GMAT on Sept. 28th, at 9:00 am. I've been studying. I have a strong math backround, verbal is my weak area. But I believe it's been better since I started studying. Actually I dont need 700 or 600 or even 500. I just need 440. Because of some personal and family reasons, I need to choose a school around here and the one I like wants 440. It's really not a big deal. But just because of this anxiety, Im really worried. Should I get some medication or something you guys think? Any comment?
  11. When two items are being compared, you are supposed to use "less", if there are more than 2 items being compared, you will need to use "least". Is the answer to this question A?
  12. Thanks for your advice vingmat. I may not have enough time to take them. Im taking the GMAT on Sept. 28th and Im just starting to SC chapter(last one) today. Hope I can do it.. :) Thanks anyway..
  13. It's ok. I fixed the problem. Thanks anyway.. :/
