Sorry to reply late.Check the sound quality in the practice tutorials of the test.The sound you maintain during the tutorials is the same in the test.So do not move forward if the sound in the tutorial is not good. As for me ,I could not hear well during the tutorials and when the tutorial got over,I once again went through the tutorials and adjusted the sound.So my advice to you would be not to move forward with the test if you are not sure with the sound in the tutorials .Take the tutorials once more and once you hear clearly move forward.Don't worry too much and be tensed.Just relax ,take deep breaths and drink water at intervals.It was just a bad luck with you and it won't repeat again.Try to concentrate on all the other areas. I am sure you won't have any problems this time .Concentrate only on your test ,don't think about your family or kids during the test.Hope for the best and never never give up till the end of the test.

Hi engsamah, Even I have taken the Toefl at the prometric center in California.Initially even I had poor sound quality no matter how much I increased the volume. But there is a volume adjustment switch attached to the headphone wires ,just increase that and check it out during the tutorials and everthing we'll be fine.Adjust the volume so that it is a little bit louder than normal so that all the words are clear.Be careful that it may not be too loud. As for structure practice the problems at test magic and give importance to single count nouns,most of the questions are based on that. Most of the colleges are satisfied with a 213 score, call up the college which u are applying for or better e-mail them especially the graduate advisor or the department head ,they'll be able to guide u much better than the admissions department.Hope this information helps u and good luck for your future. The essay topic was 'Do you agree or disagree : parents have more influence on young adults or friends'.The topic was easy but I could not review my essay . Hi friends, Thanks for all your help,especially the essay part.I was better prepared for the test but last moment I got a stomach ache and could not sleep well the previous night of the examination,so my concentration level almost reduced. My advice to all testtakers is to take care of your health first and be particular to have a good night sleep before the day of examination. The listening section was a bit difficult as one topic was about Beethovens music composition-27 The reading comprehension was also difficult and confusing-27 Structure was the only easiest part 13-30 As my essay writing skills are not that good ,I was expecting to do well in the other sections to compensate for it.I am not expecting more in my essay ,as I didn'nt check the spelling errors which are often prominent in my essays.So I am not sure how much I may score. I would thank all my friends at test magic who evaluvated my essays.It was because of all their valuble feedbacks that I was atleast able to write an essay,no matter how I fair in it.Thank u all and good luck. Man is made of many up many layers ,and the external appearence is just an upper layer.Hence the first impression of a person may not be the real impression .Only when we look through the layers due we realise that the attitiude and personality of the individual that we percieved may be completely different.Given a chance to judge a person, I would definitely him from all the aspects other that just his first impression. Though first impression might give a general idea about the person but it does not reflect the attitude or personality.Sometimes it is may seem that people who dress up well may be giving a false impression.For example ,I had a neighbour who always dressed up neat and tidy ,he looked very decent but later I found out that he was a drug dealer and he was just trying to give a good impression about himself by dressing well.Thus when we evaluvate a person it is very neccesary to know the person before judging. Another instance where first impression need not be true is the example of Mahatma Gandhi.When the world leaders looked forward to meet him,they found a man thin and fragile and scantily dressed.But he was a person with firm determination ,who lead a country to Freedom through the priciples of non-violence. Thus it can be inferred that the first impression that we have of a person may not reflect the attiude or personality traits,since these are the inner characteristic which make a person.
