  1. Hey, I was reading one post, and the authord was saying that he had an ear plugs. So, if he could bring it to the test center, maybe it is allowed.
  2. Hi guys, I remember somebody wrote that it is possible to delay choosing 5 universities until finishing and looking at the score. Would you please instruct how to do that? Would be very thankful if you answer today!
  3. Hey, these are very useful points, Thank you!
  4. Hi, Male, 23, Uzbekistan. - got my bachelor of economics in Uzbekistan, - worked 1.5 years in main telecommunication company as a financial analyst. - another bachelor of finance from the USA university - summer internship in Merrill Lynch, GPC - expect 700 from GMAT 1. Will my 1.5 year full time and 0.5 year internship experience count as two year experience? 2. Can I get full/ substantial financial aid (GA, scholarships) and what universities I should consider? Thank you!
  5. Was something different for you between the actual exam and, for example, GMATPrep? Maybe anxiety?

    Apology

Hi Erin, I apologize for violating the copyright rule. I did not know that joining a thread, where a lot of people ask to share materials, is against the rules. Here I am a little confused as there are a lot of materials people can share and I may not be aware which of them are copyrighted and which personal. Thus, how will I know that a material I am asking is copyrighted? By the way, I could not open the link provided in your message: Link removed by admin. Ziyod.
  7. I am sorry I confused; I took GMATPrep by GMAC, not Powerprep, which was for TOEFL :-) Please, answer.
  8. Hi guys, When you took GMATPrep1 and got 700+, how many mistakes per section did you have? I took GMATPrep1 - 710 (Q49;V38) today and I should be happy, but I am not, yet. I don't want to OVER and UNDERestimate my strength. I expected 600-670, because I usually get 60-70% right in Verbal section using those 1000 of SC, RC etc (and I am non-native speaker). I also run out of time and this time it happened again. I had to guess 10 questions at the end of each section. Review showed that I made Q15 and V13 questions wrong, which is the same 60-70%. I also missed one in 7th question. Yeah, I've heart that early questions count for more, but is it normal to miss THAT MANY questions and still get 700+? "7" seemed so high to me. Please, those who scored around 700, how may mistakes per section did you have? Did you also have around 15 mistakes out of 37 in math? Doesn't it seem unrealistic? Please, explain, personal experience would be awesome. Thank you!
  9. Hi guys! Would you please share any e-materials with another dreamer, hoping to score 700+ (ziyodkhon@gmail.com) I've been using many books but without desired improvement, so I am getting short of practice materials. Thank you all in advance. Ziyod.
  10. OOh, I thought I couldn't explain my way. You are right, my way just tells which is fake.
  11. Kelvinspain, in one case you do NOT and CANNOT know whether it is lighter or heavier, BUT still find fake. Here is how. (a1, a2, a3, a4)=(b1, b2, b3, b4) then c1=c2, then c2=c3. So you are left with c4, which MUST be fake. Now, suppose c1>c2, now you should and CAN find is it lighter or heavier. take weigh c2 and c3, if c2=c3, then c1 if fake. (c1>c2=c3). Now it is obvious that c1 is heavy. Or you can weigh c1=c3, and here it means c2 apeeared to be lighter. Any more questions? Will be glad to answer. P.S. This is the actual problem posted first: How to identify one fake coin from 12 coins using plate-scales and right to use the scales only 3 times. (no info wheather the fake coin is lighter or heavier than the real ones). so our objective is just finding FAKE, not whether it is lighter or heavier.
  12. Hi Kelvinspain, Assuming the rest seems right, let me clear the first part. So, A=B, then fake one is in C (c1, c2, c3, c4). Suppose weigh 2 C1=C2. Then fake is either C3 or C4. So, get C1 (proven - not fake) and weigh (3) with either c3 or c4. If scale is imbalance, then you already now that c1 is original, and the other should be fake. If balanced, then only c4 left. Hope I cleared up.
  13. I didn't get your way frankly speaking. Is it possible to show actual 1-, 2-, 3-weighing and run hypothetical example? And can anybody tell how many ways there are for this problem?
  14. Here is my way. STOP! If you don't know the solution, and someone posted next to mine, saying, "You've got it", PLEASE don't read mine. Because solving yourself brings you real satisfaction. To those who know the answer, please, grade. So 3 sets of 4 (a1, a2, a2, a4); (b1, b2, b3, b4); (c1, c2, c3, c4) 1-weigh: A-B, if equal, (2) c1-c2, again equal? (3) c2-c3, again? then c4 is fake. If any c-weight is imbalanced, 3-weigh will be with a1. Now, worst case, A>B. Then, lets rename A to H (Heavy) and B to L (Light). 2-weigh: (H4,L1,L2) and (L3, L4, c1). Note here that c1 is definitely original. If Right side is heavy, then it means either H1 is heavy, or L3 or L4 is lighter. 3-weigh: L3-L4, if equal, take H4, if not, take lighter one. If Left side is heavier, it is only because either L1 or L2 is lighter. 3-weigh: L1-L2. Choose lighter one. What if (H1,L1,L2) and (L3, L4, c5) is equal? Then, 3-weigh: H1-H2. If equal, take H3, if not, take heavier. It seems, every worst case is covered. But I had such feeling severel times with this problem :-)) So? What do you think guys? Ziyod.
  15. balaganesh.. thanks for the approach .. but if you run worst case scenario, you will end up with 3 coins, one more chance, and no idea is it lighter on heavier. Here is how: You weigh A-B, (worst case) they are equal. You weigh B-C, they are again equal. Then you are left with D1, D2, D3 and one more chance. You weigh D1-D2, weather it is different or equal, it doesn't help.
