I am a psychologist planning to take a MA-level microeconomic theory course at a top 20 MA econ program. We will use Jehle and Reny as our textbook. The MA program is distinct from the PhD program at this institution.
Is knowledge of linear algebra necessary to complete such a course? I am working my way through Simon and Blume to ensure adequate mathematical preparation, but I am ONLY taking micro and want to figure out if I can skip sections in the book (in particular, matrix/linear algebra and differential equations).
