Indeed. Posts like these were why I cast my vote for Economists. This is from the perspective of the 2010 Jeeves Award: the award should recognize the forum member who made substantive contributions to assist other applicants during the application cycle in which that person was active. As entertaining as some posts are, the award--at least as how I think of Jeeves--is about informing, not entertaining. A lot of people free ride on this forum (that is, extract insights and information without contributing much). The purpose of this award is to recognize someone who made contributions in an effort to help fellow applicants--applicants with whom that poster was competing with--get into the best programs possible.
