ambreenjava
I remember my teacher told me, there is a gate that is called universal gate, as it behaves like any other gate with a certain combinations. I just forgot the name of that universal gate though i think its NAND. Can u plz verify it.
Vinay
yup, it is NAND gate
ambreenjava
Thanks, can u also tell me what possible topics to review from OS.
wood
I would look at least at those topics below... I'd look superficially if I had no time and in more details if I did. If you have little time, don't try to learn something new though. Just try to refresh what you know and do some exercise on them. Question yourself, solve Schaum's outline series examples/problems, post questions here, etc... Memory Management (primary storage, cache, virtual memory, ...) Interprocess Communication (semaphores, mutexes, critical section, ...) Process Scheduling (round-robin, shortest job first, ...) File System Management Device Management Security Distributed Systems (networked OS, ...)
ambreenjava
Hey thanks. I'll review them. I dont have much time. I will take the test in November.
Vinay
yea basically these topics make up complete OS course and we definately r short of time :-(
suchit
Please correct me if I am wrong. But aren't there two universal gates, i.e. NAND and NOR?
ambreenjava
Hey yeah, I did made the logic circuits to find out. NOR can also make all 4 combinations.
