To those who are already at UCSD or know someone there, I was just wondering how is the program overall? Do you like it there, hiw hard is the first year and the qualifying exams, and how is the 2nd year metrics sequence, etc? Any information about the program is much appreciated. Thanks! I don't have experience with other programs to compare it to, but the first year is probably as hard as it would be at any other university. That said, attrition is very low, so if you are admitted, it is with the expectation that you will be able to finish the program. Feel free to PM with more specific questions.
