Hey guys, I got an offer from UCSD econ. To those who are already at UCSD or know someone there, I was just wondering how is the program overall? Do you like it there, hiw hard is the first year and the qualifying exams, and how is the 2nd year metrics sequence, etc? Any information about the program is much appreciated. Thanks!

For those who were admitted to UCSD, did they ask you to report which other comparably ranked schools did you get into and send them pdf of these? Do you have any idea why they asked this?

Yes, i also got the 25% readership. I have the same question about what this means. Is it grading papers or exams?

How about if I have not heard back from them at all? I have not heard back at all from Michigan while I have seen offers and rejections at GC. A friend of mine who applied last year told me that he was actually waitlisted but was only notified 14th april

Is it recommended to send an email to your implicit rejections or waitlists and tell them about your current offers from other schools, as like bargaining chips?
