Yes, I think getting financial aid in spring is tough, coz most of the uni's doesn't offer financial aids for spring. regarding the dates i think its better u reffer the department web site probably its around march-april

This is my case. My wife received a TA for $17,000 (with a full tution fee waiver) and in her I-20 it's shown as that it covers both our expenses (including food, housing, insurerence). Do we still have to show funds?

As far as I know F1 are on multiple entry basis. So I don't think there would be any probs. Lotz of my friends come home for vaccation

Nope.. Don't worry They won't deny the visa totally. But there have been instanses where they hv rejected it in the first attempt. But all of the ppl I know joined their spouses may be 3-6 months later. (But i know... It's hard to wait even that long... I also hv the same prob)

If u hv the I-20 with full funding I don't think u need to show any assets or certificates. Anyway just take ur certificates to the Visa interview.

Well I'm not an expert on this matter. But I don't think it will be a problem If it seems like a prob, I think the best solution is to join a 2-3 week USA tour organized by various companies. (u can tell them to give it at a reduced cost, since u dont need the hotel acoomadation, meals or anything)

Can anyone post some Visa Q & A for dependents? In my case my spouse got a TA and they sent two I-20s for both of us. I have also applied to the same uni, but haven't heard from them yet. If I didn't get admission for Fall-06, I plan to apply again on 2007 (while I'm there on F2). If they ask anything about my future plans, shall I mention this to them? :)
