  9. The cost of manufacturing 'x' pens in Chicago is 2 + 4x. The cost of transportation of x pens to Denver is 2x. The amount received after selling (x/2) pens in Chicago is 2x. The amount received after selling (x/2) pens in Denver is 4x. What should be 'x' for break even assuming that half the pens made are sold in Chicago and the other half in Denver? a) 1 b) 2 c) 3 d) 4 e) 5 OA to follow.
  10. The answer should be 10/32. The chances of picking 3 days from 5 days = 10. Total probability for 5 days = 1/32.
  11. The answer is A. Its a seems to be a standard deviation problem. For group A, with mean 460 and standard deviation of 20, there are a total of 16% below 440. For group B, with mean 520 and standard deviation of 40, there are a total of 2% below 520. Hence fraction for Group B is: 2/18 = 1/9.
  12. The bacteria doubles every 10 mins. If the initial number is x, after 10 mins it becomes 2x, after 20mins it becomes 4x...and after 60mins it is 2^6x Here x = 10^4 hence final answer must be = 2^6 * 10^4. Is the C the answer?
