More transcript tales: for some weird reason the transcript that I had to pay university of madras Rs 500 to get and another rupees 950 on DHL has been deemed unofficial by Stern. Now they want a photocopy which is verified by the US Embassy ... grrrrr. Why can't they ask all the stuff AFTER they make a decision.

The real answer I found from experience...depends. Each university has its own criteria... Tuck and Chicago GSB ask you for a self reported transcript. You just ahve to send them your scores with no proof. This is a great approach and makes applying online easier also shows the trust they have on students. NYU Stern requires you send your universities their Transcipt form (available on their site) and that they send it back in a sealed envelope. I haven't checked but there must be a college there which requires a photocopy be sent. Why some colleges start an online application then ask you to spend more money on mailing packets of documents is somethign I don't understand. FYI: DHL has a discounted rates for MBA applications. Visit their site http://www.dhl.com and find the toll free number of your country. DHL India also has a home pickup service.

Hi all, This may be a very basic question but... I have my mark sheets and degree certificate from teh University of madras (in english of course) so will this be my transcript or is that a whole different animal? Please help. I am finding the application mroe difficult than teh GMAT itself :) -sridhar

I got it after a month too. I wrote the exam on oct-14 and recvd it around nov 15th. Much worse my GMAT report which I wrote in September hasn't reache me either. I have emailed them and got a reply nothign after that.. Lets see...

While all these words have similar meaning. There may sometimes depending on usage be some differnces. Admit and concede often mean that you are doing it without really liking it. I have to admit that her argument does have its points. whereas, recognize or acknowledge tend to be on the positive side. Ex) We would like to acknowledge his contribution. He was recognized for his contribution as a coach.

Me too. I must have been 13 or 14 when I created a character - FalconMan and I don't remember the complete storyline but it didn involve a whirlpool causing monster, United Nations Security council ...the whole works :)
