MY BACHELOR UNIV MAKES IT A CHOICE FOR THE STUDENTS TO AVOID ATTENDING ANY OF, A SET OF SUBJECTS(5) TO PASS OUT. BUT I PREFERRED TO ATTEND EVEN THEM..SO THEY APPEAR IN MY MARKS LIST.BUT THEY ARE NOT CONSIDERED IN EVALUATING MY PERFORMANCE.HAD I CHOSEN TO NOT ATTEND ANY OF THEM..THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN OMITED FROM MY MARKS SHEET. MY GPA BASED ON THIS(TRUNCATED) MARKS SHEET IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE..AS THAT WOULD ACTUALLY PLACE ME AMONG TOP TEN IN THE UNIV.(OR MAY BE FIVE)..BUT...ONCE THESE SUBJECTS GET ADDED IN THE EVALUATION..OBVIOUSLY..MY GPA ISNT AS IMPRESSIVE. CAN ANYONE please TELL ME HOW THE GPA IS EVALUATED BY UNIVS IN USA? WHT DO THEY CONSIDER? WILL THEY ACCEPT MY BETTER GPA?

hi thanks pallavi & vinay for ur words..i'm another person who selected the undergraduate option & math paper was very tough...though i was resonably decent in being able to make it... can vinay or anyone plz.. lemme know my prospects with this score and 3+ yrs of experience and a GPA of 3.8 + on 4 pt scale... further..can any one guide me regarding the prospects of aeronautical field for non citizens of US..what would the future hold for me, in terms of job market, if i opt for any of aero-specific fields???

i'm creepy in prob..yet giving it a try...might be of some use to u... the total no.of ways to select 2 scks frm 10 is 10C2= 45 ways; ways to pick 1st socks is 5 diff ways (not 10 coz specified as 5 diff pairs..ways to pick 1 out of 5 is 5 diff ways) ways to pick 2nd socks such that it would be the corresponding pair of the 1st is only 1...since...one of its pair is already picked..& way to select the other is just unique..the same specific one itself... hence..the total positive ways is(mxn)= 5x1 = 5 & total ways is 45 so p(E) = 5/45 = 1/9. other TMs correct me if i'm wrong.....1st prob is tooo tough 4 me.

barrons cbt tests say my quant is between 770 & 800...my verbal is between 670 & 400....donno i either end up getting all the RC wrong or most of them right(out of 10RC Questions)...hence i get 27/30(670) or 20/30(470) ....this abnormal difference in various tests creates immeasurable tension...Erin plz....what can i do at this last hour...i either tend to make the whole xam or break it...nothing looks in between!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any guidence??????????

hi Erin! have my xam in next few hours...solved both the tests sent by ETS...in 1 i scored..800Q, 670V..in the other....although i score 790 in Q verbal is terrible...its..a..meagre..430...i solved both the papers with same level of knowledge..but donno why..all my RC were wrong..in the second... further...how many RC will we encounter?? 2 passages or 3??? do we get to see 10+Q frm RC!!!!!...i fear..if all my answers for my RC turn out to be wrong...on the D-Day!!!!! how do u rate my chances in verbal????

hey mohamed! dont worry abt % inc or dec...just think of 1 simple rule...it is the (change/original value )*100. for eg., if ur salary is $100.. (a) then it increased to 120; (b) it decreased to 70. (a) change = 120-100 =20 & orginal salary before any change is 100 so % inc is 20/100*100 = 20===> so..there is a hike of 20% similarly... (b) 30/100*100 = 30==> 30% decrease in ur salary... dont get confused...it is always the difference of 2 numbers divided by the original no. frm which u need to calculate the inc or dec... hope this helps...
