  1. Yes but it isn't always necessary to be jouniors=6 and seniors=15. E.g. juniors=3 and seniors=21-3=18. In this case seniors are more than twice the number of juniors too. I think the answer is D.
  2. sensitive -> sensitivity pressure can -> pressure which can it's due to sth. e.g. due to many editions of her letters being published. There is a standalone sentence after the gap and you should not put due to. being grown -> grown unique -> uniquely but the deposits -> the deposits you can't put although and but together
  3. No you're not wrong. Actually it is: 1 Does the column 1 say the maximum number of juniors?
  4. The volume must depend on three dimensions (the cylinder is a 3D object), which means 3 variables (not necessarily different - e.g. cube = x^3). It can't be calculated with a formula like k*rad*height, where k is constant.
  5. There are 67 people, right? Let x be the number of those who don't participate in any game. 7 are those who participate in 2 different games, and 1 participates both 3 games So, the number of people that are seen as a whole (all players of all the 3 games) is: those who participate in 1 game + those who participate in 2 games * 2 + those who participate in 3 games * 3 = [67-(7+1+x)] + 7*2 + 3*1 which equals with the sum of 20+30+25. So: [67-(7+1+x)] + 2*7 + 1*3 = 20+30+25 x = 1
  6. I think it is 1: 67 + 7 + 2 - (20+30+25) = 1 67 are alltogether 8 attend atleast two games, but 1 of them attend three games
  7. Hi there! Forum newbie here taking the toefl exam in a month :D I am confused too! Why not A? Maybe it is that in D the concept of TV is "Images" and not the "transmission" of images. It doesn't make any sence to me though. Is it the grammar that makes the difference or the meaning? --- "few" is for countable nouns. the correct choice would be "little" "being hungry" is the appropriate answer it should be adv+adj in both b and d: "faintly bluish" and "chemically active" it is the nineteenth century
