  1. :hmm: I wrote the entry lateat night... :sleepy: When I read it one more time in the morning I understand where I made mistake ... Everybody makes mistake guys. :doh:
  2. I solved the problem and liked it very much... the best way to understand it is drawing the diagram. the question really tests your basic geometry ability..
  3. guys I agree with the OA. firts I think kroniques solution is wrong becasur t is alread a percentage like 0.15 if you divide it with 100 it becomes 0.0015 understand? here the statement are not in relation with each other... if you look at statement two; t percent of P is 7552 so P is bigger than 7552 it may be 15000 (or something else, just guessing...) so if P 15000 s must be something around 14700.. if we calculate; (15000- 14700)- 7550 the answer must be like -7200 (around somewhere) I am not sure whether I am clear? Let me know guys. I think this is a tricky question...
  4. thanks guys I know that my score is not very very good but I believe that I did my best... thank you guys for helping and everything...
  5. ----------------------------------------------------- (3^(x-1))^3 => 3^(3x-3) = [3^(3x)] \ 27 3^(6x) = 8,100 => 3^(3x) = 90 so the answer should be 90\27 =>10\3
  6. tea is better.... :tup:
  7. it sound confusing but not impossible; if we think that there are 10 yellow watermelon there should be 9 gw; and if weight of yw = x then weight of gw = 1.17 so; if 9 gw is 1,17 then 10 gw is 1,30 here we can say that green water melons weight 30 percent more than yw weight... by the way; I like watermelons:p:p
  8. hey ctg; the numbers on the cards might be; 2 - 6 6 - 2 5 - 3 3 - 5 4 - 4 because we know the sum of the numbers on the card... so, the answer is 2\5 I think your set was like; 2 - 6 3 - 5 4 - 4 I think you know understand your miastake...
  9. :tup::grad:[clap][clap]:grad::tup: This is the last part of my story... On last few days I studied a little bit for AWA. (Analytic Writing Assessment) PR Cracking the GMAT showed its miracle in this part. The templates given in the book were amazing. They took me to the result shortly. I first wrote the template sentences and after a “little” brainstorming I figured out that I wrote more than 400 words. When I used PR templates I feel relaxed because the template useful and easy to use. (I also used PR templates for my TOEFL. But, I haven’t used any other templates which are prepared by other test prep companies like KAPLAN or 800score. So there is no comparison here, but PR AWA satisfied me very much.).............................................................................................................................................. click this link for the rest of the article...
  10. :grad::grad::grad::grad::grad::grad: the second part of my story.... The other resource I used to prepare for GMAT was Princeton Review Cracking the GMAT which has comprehensive reviews, sample questions and full length tests. (I also attached the picture of the cover of this book) Actually it gives good tips for GMAT and it motivates you while you are studying with the statistics about salaries or daily schedule of a business school student which are placed on the edges of the pages. However, it is not the way to miracle. (Here I have to say that I haven’t used any books other than Official Guide for GMAT and PR Cracking the GMAT. So, I do NOT compare PR Cracking the GMAT with any other books. This information here is just about my personal satisfaction.) That’s why you shouldn’t expect a lot of things from this book. click this link for the rest of the article...
  11. How did I boost my score from 500 to 610 in three weeks? Guys, this is my story from TOEFL to GMAT. Hope you guys find it fun and helpful. First I will give you the dates which I took TOEFL and GMAT. I got my TOEFL on the 7th of November and I got GMAT on the 5th of December which means I had only 4 weeks to study the GMAT. Actually if we think that the first 3-4 days was “recovering from the TOEFL”, I had only 3, 5 weeks to study for the GMAT. In these 3, 5 weeks I studied 3 to 5 hours everyday and I took 5 days off. Generally, I concentrated on the Math part because I thought that if I try the both of the Math and Verbal part, I may screw up. So I decided to pick one of these parts to concentrate. I picked Math part due to my ability. I believed that I can improve my self in Math faster than I can in Verbal part. However, concentrating on the Math part doesn’t mean to throw to the winds the Verbal part. I solved a lot of Verbal questions also, but it has to be in the second position to maximize my score in a short time. click this link for the rest of the article...
  12. the probability of getting exactly three red hats; (4C3 X 4C1)\8C4 the probability of getting exactly three blue hats; (4C3 X 4C1)\8C4 (which is same with the probability of getting red hat) so that the answer is; [(4C3 X 4C1)\8C4] X 2
