Hello, I used to feel the same way cos this is also my first time, but I think the next step is you have to wait for the I-20, the document you have to use when you apply for VISA, in the meanwhile, you should try to find apartment, find info. about the dept. you are going to study ( about the faculty, the study env., etc.), make the final decision whether you 'll accept their offer and then, you should book an air ticket, when you got the VISA, everything is done ( I mean you could fly to USA), about the course registration, I think the dept. will tell you more when you accept their offer. Guys, now I got in UTA, I am shocked( it ranked the first in my list)... I got the news this morning( my country time),that means 2 schools left for me, anyway, best of luck to you all:).

I'm in same situation; I am waiting for 3 schools and I am very frustrated coz I have to decide soon on which school I 'll attend ( April 15 is the deadline), I want to have final decision ASAP.

Guys, Does anyone other than Ramlau hear something from Rice Econ PhD, I emailed the grad coordinator and she told me that the app. is under review, I wanna know if anyone got any news different from this? Should I be worried then:hmm: ?

It took around 10 days in my case:yuck: , you couldn't do anything now, because the faxed request can't be cancelled ( you ' ll be charged twice if you call again:doh: ), they will process it for sure if you give them all info. needed.

I heard from one of my friends, who's studying in Econ Dep. that he talked to Shirlene, and she said she has no time to respond to my email becos this year, the dep. receives a very large pool of applicants, I guess this's the reason why she doesn't respond to your calls or email.

I got rejection email on 3/16, and I got that summer email on the following day, that's kinda strange.

Hello, all TMians I know this thread might sound wierd cos I 'd like to ask comments about Msc Program in Economics at Warwick University ( it's UK school, not the US schools where most of us here want to get in:p ) , I got an offer and since I don't get aid from Georgetown ( where I also get an offer for Econ PhD. ), I am not sure which one should I choose, how do you feel about Msc Econ at Warwick, do you think it's a good idea for me to spend ( less) money at Warwick first and reapply after Master, or should I just risk my life in PhD at GU ( it is "very" expensive for someone like me who's from developing country):hmm: ? Commemts are highly appreciated:D .

Reactor, Relax, you are not the only one in this process, my only admit is w/o aid and I don't think I can afford to attend the program, I heard nothing from other schools and together with my profile ( compared to other TMians), the chance of rejection is very high, so yes ! we are in the same boat:)

Thanks a lot associate, your information is very helpful, I also got admitted to Georgetown ( w/o aid though), I am int'l student, so ranking affects my decision a lot, but after knowing this "inside " information, my decision may change:).
