  1. Hi, I am an Indian working in an Indian Company. I was trying t fill up the Transcript downloaded from Columbia Website for my MBA application form. I have the following questions. I have done my Graduation in Chemical Engineering and did my Postgraduation also in Chemical Engineering. I have done my graduation (B-Tech) and Post graduation from two different institute. (1) Does that mean that I should be filling up two transcript sheet. (2) Under the section school information there are two columns for First degree and second degree. Since I did my B-Tech in Chemical Engineering So my First degree will be B-Tech. Am I Right? (3) Under the Advanced placement credit information What information should be filled? (4)In my institute the Ist year combines I & II semster. But in the Transcript I am only allowed to fill one term. (5) How ill I state that the course was done in a year period. (6) My undergraduate institute provides absolute marks to the students in Examination. For example in a mathematics paper if a student gets 80 marks out of 100 the transcript states that the students mark is 80. How can I convert it into Grade. If any one can answer these question it will be helpful for me. regards Jayan

  7. The problem here is they are asking for a specific value for a - b. i.e.. we need to know the value of both a and b neither statement a nor statement (b) helps us in getting the value of a and b
  8. HI All, Thanks for the response. I have the following questions popping up in my mind. 1) How do we convert the Undegraduate % into GPA. Does anyone here know of the formula? 2) If I score some where around 750 what are the specific advantages which I will enjoy.
  9. I finished my GMAT. Score is 690 (Q49 and V35). I had a Solid 2.5 week(for which I took leave) preparation. I started off with a score of 550 in Kaplan at the beginning of this study period. I think with some more preparation and active participation in TM forums I will be able to increase the score by another 50-60 points. But the foremost question in My mind is whether it is worth it? I will give a little background about myself. I have around 6 years It experience which is spanned in different countries in Europe as well as US. I am a B-Tech (81%) and M-Tech(9.33/10). In addition I also so some what active trading in stocks. Recently I funded a retail outlet in my native village which is currently being Run by my father. I take active interest in running the outlet. Now Can any one in TM suggest whether I should go for GMAT again or start applying to B-Schools. I am primarily interested in US B-Schools and would like to go in for general Management. I am primarily interested in Columbia, Stanford, Cornell etc..
  10. The region in southern asia formerly under british rule includes the area that are now india, pakistan , Bangladesh, Srilanka and Myanmar. My question is whether "include" should be in present tense or past tense. Please explain
  11. This is similar to the centgrade farenheit conversion which we studied in school.. i.e.. c/100 = (f-32)/180. In the above case the equation is (R-6)/18 = (S-30)/30 . So Substitute S with 100 and yu get the answer..
