Hi, Yes i was referring to the Masters program. So guys u think i should go ahead with CMU. Well no i am not from BIT or IIT. But i am heavily banking on TAMU. All my other colleges are pretty much safe ones. Moneywise...I find CMU expensive.Its extortion practically. But whats the harm in applying. We'll see about the money later. INI doesn't look that impressive. And ofcourse its tooooo expensive. Hey any tips for the SOP and recos. I have a year's experiience of working in a telecomm firm (for BT Plc projects domain being .net , pl/sql and java..yes i have done it all!!!). You think getting one reco from a boss is a good thing. However TAMU clearly states that reco from boss will not carry as much weightage as from a prof...Stuck there..please advise... Thanks guys.. Ruchika

Hi ochre.. since i am planning to apply online i would be only sending the transcripts and the financial statement in the applicatn pckts. I am planning to send those by mid of august.But the online applicatn i would complete by then. besides the fomula is incorrect.. cosC=(a^2+b^2-c^2)/2ab => c^2=a^2+b^2-2abcosC =>n^2=p^2+m^2-2pmcos(5x) clearly all the terms are positive.Hence the rhs>lhs. Regards Ruchika

For the california lottery question: the desired combination is : 1 the total number of possible combinations: 51 raised to power 6 (because each of the six positions has 51 possiblities..so total no. of possible combinations is 51*51*51*51*51*51..we cannot use concept of "combinations" because then we assume that once a number is used in one of the positions it cant be repeated..however such a condition is not mentioned...i am talking of a possible combinations of the form 111111 or 122112 etc..) So the probability is 1/(51^6) Lemme know if anyone thinks otherwise.. thats a very dismal probability of winning though... Ruchika
