Congrats for your admits [clap]. I guess I agree with muazfarooq, if you plan to continue your graduate studies towards the PhD then UPenn is your best choice. I was just wondering, why are you talking only about UPenn and UMBC ... you have been admitted at many others ... why didnot you talk about them ?!

I didnot wait for the professors to ask to see the papers, I sent a copy of them with the application documents. About the GRE subject, no the score reached GaTech before the deadline (my online application status says that) but I didnot receive a copy of the score so I dont know my score till now.:rolleyes: I dont remember what my first option was but I guess it was TA followed by RA not the opposite!

I will try to answer your questions as far as I can. - Campus: Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta - I dont remember exactly the time I applied but I guess it was the first week of December, and sorry aesthetic_ascetic I dont know whether they have rolls or not. - My online application status didnot change mir_d ... it still says "No decision taken yet", and I got the notification by email. - Thank you cridamour, hope the same for you :tup:. **Some people asked for my profile, so here it is: - Graduated with honors from CS Dept, Alexandria University, Egypt ... GPA:3.9 - Expecting to defend my MS thesis soon (in a month), from the same university. - I have 3 published papers based on my thesis, 2 in a local journal (not a famous one) and one in an international conference. - TOEFL: 273 (computer based) - GRE: Q 800, V 320, AW 4.5 - GRE Subject, computer science: I posted it but I did not get the score till now ( can you believe that :mad: ) **** Generally, I dont think it is a very special profile but I guess for some reason the profs in the networking research group at GTech saw something special in it (may be my papers, I dont know) that made them offer me a research assistantship from the first year.
