hi, i am from bangladesh. i had my F1 visa interview on 21st may. VO told me that after completing 'administrative processing' they will contact me to provide visa. more than a month has passed but i haven't been contacted yet. my class will start from 4th September. guys, how long it might take to get my visa? do u have any idea? FYI, in many cases of my friends they completed 'administrative processing' within a week. am i just being unlucky or there is something else?

i heard from a ms student of rutgers that u can complete ur phd in 4-5 years if u take more courses in early semesters and decide ur research topic and prof quickly. i have got i-20 of ncsu saying 5 years to obtain phd and osu 6 years. but hell...rutgers says its 7 years :(

USC denied my phd application and offered MS admission without aid. I had to reject the offer:(. They contacted me through email.

I heard their results are out. Anybody received it? How can I check my status online..I heard about this application http://www.testudo.umd.edu/apps/gradapp/ but failed to login. Where the hell they get SID/UID?

Congrats! I have applied to ncsu too..but no decision yet. I am on the same boat like you..only university differs. OSU has accepted me but they haven't told me about aid.

they haven't told when decision about funding will be final.

they emailed me. later i checked their site..its status is changed to 'referred'.

Hi guys, OSU has offered me admission for phd in CS for fall 2007. They are now considering about financial aid. Maybe they will let me know later. I am just curious if anybody of you can tell me about the likelihood of offering financial aid. Without aid I will not survive a day. Short piece of info..if it helps..toefl 273(reading-30, listening - 24, structure-28, writing-5.5)..gre(1450, V-650, W-4.0). Thanks.

1. Take a sample test. No matter how hard it seems finish it. 2. Take 2 days to analyze the questions from the taken practice exam. Try to understand what they like to ask and your strengths and weaknesses. 3. Read from undergrad CS books. I don't think there are better preparation materials than those books. But you have to understand where you have to concentrate and where you can just skim through. 4. Use this forum to get materials like practice tests and suggestions.

Today I have received the official score letter. 52 correct answer - 12 incorrect = 49 counted, 820 (85%). Those who still haven't got their score this info might help to predict their score. Good luck.
