Gents, what is the general rule here? Is it that the pronoun refers to the nearest subject, in that case D is best, or that each pronoun must have a clear unambiguous referant, in which case E is best?
Also a CR question. However, it has already been discussed.

A certain number when successfully divided by 8 and 11 leaves remainders of 3 and 7 respectively. What will be the remainder when the number is divided by the product of 8 and 11, viz 88?
solution provided was:
x = 11k + 7
11k + 7 = 3(mod 8)
3k+7=3(mod 8).......how?
3k=4(mod 8)......how?
3(k-1) = (mod 8)
k=4(mod 8)
x=11.4 + 7 = 51 (mod 88)
OA = 51
If the single rate is still lower than the combined rates and many of United Shipping's former customers would prefer a combined rate for their various shipping services, then the official's prediction is supported. Option C should be the OA.
Perhaps B.
Option C says the materials used prior to 1990 and thereafter are roughly the same. Seems not to weaken the fact that the change in the physical condition of the boats was attributed to the manufacturers. If the materials are the same, then some other reasons must be responsible for the deteriorating form of the current boats.
I see, that's inequality. The graph passess through 1st (m + n >0) and 3rd quadrants (m + n are both negative. So, m + n
Both could you solve using test values? I tried and was just wasting time)
It's a GMATPREP question.
Thanks.
T= R+L+P; T=total number of boxes
Required to calculate R/P
(1) L=0.3(R+L+P) => 0.7L=0.3(R+P) INSUF
(2) R=P+10 INSUFF
Combining, we have an equation with 3 unknowns. INSUFF (E)
