Give GREMAT a break ppl...He/She was trying to point out that GMAT is not the sole determinant of admission to the top 10 b schools. Its all about how well you present what you've got!!

Singita...US business schools are not very generous on scholarships..you should contact them immediately if you are applying for Fall 2007 programs because of deadlines for international students...I believe other masters programs are more willing to give out scholarships...

Congrats anupam...You did make it to the 700 club...Not all universities in the top 15 look for an 80 80 split. If you can compile a terrific essay incorporating your school experience(leadership involvements, organizational memberships, GPA,other achievements), volunteering & community involvements and anything that might be an interesting/learning experience.... Why lose heart so early on? There is always a chance to retake it if you have time...

Depending on your accomplishments in other aspects of the application such as undergrad GPA, work exp, leadership abilities etc... you can compare those with class profiles of the universisites you wish to apply for...If you do see a consistency I think you should concentrate on your application essays than worry about the score....
