Give GREMAT a break ppl...He/She was trying to point out that GMAT is not the sole determinant of admission to the top 10 b schools. Its all about how well you present what you've got!!

Singita...US business schools are not very generous on scholarships..you should contact them immediately if you are applying for Fall 2007 programs because of deadlines for international students...I believe other masters programs are more willing to give out scholarships...

Congrats anupam...You did make it to the 700 club...Not all universities in the top 15 look for an 80 80 split. If you can compile a terrific essay incorporating your school experience(leadership involvements, organizational memberships, GPA,other achievements), volunteering & community involvements and anything that might be an interesting/learning experience.... Why lose heart so early on? There is always a chance to retake it if you have time...

In my opinion its good enough not to go for a second attempt..Time to hit those essays!!

Depending on your accomplishments in other aspects of the application such as undergrad GPA, work exp, leadership abilities etc... you can compare those with class profiles of the universisites you wish to apply for...If you do see a consistency I think you should concentrate on your application essays than worry about the score....

Congratulations!!!:tup: Good Luck with your application process. 700 is a great score, a 20 point hike is really not going to make a difference in your acceptance.

Congrats...I felt like I was staring my current state right in the face when I read your experience. Wow...that's just awesome, Im taking the test in a week or so, I feel like Im drained out in every way. I got 2520 as well. Did the same way. One thing, '0' is included in counting for the 4th & 5th digits

Im thinking D. That's the only possibility that would show y as 0. Positive single digits cannot equal 0. They do not say distinct so x can very well equal y.
