  1. congrats dude, the debrief was very helpful
  2. hi, pls start with TwiSplitters debrief, also read ticktacktoe's. keep surfing the just finished section and see wt successful & not so succeful gmatters do. You'll begin to understand what works and what doesn't...while doing this devise a strategy that'll suit you the most and than just go for it. sorry there is no simple answer here, and only you'll know wts right for you
  3. Congrats! Wt's the mantra for the improvement?
  4. congrats! all the best for ur apps
  5. u justified "ready to learn!" very well ~ Congratulations dude!
  6. Congrats! Great score :-) Just a word of caution, don't let scholarship be the only criteria for selecting the school.
  7. You dont even need so many books. Just do OG! Better yet, take a power prep exam to see where you stand. May be you don't even have to wait 2 more months to score 500....
  8. ur quant score it amazing. With a little more effort on verbal you are ready to Rock. do read Erin's & 800bob's posts for SC and keep practicing more with the 1000sc & cr docs. Target your weekness for the rest of september and in october do GMATSets to practice under timed conditions also you should donwload GmatPrep from mba.com don't rely on powerprep's scores
  9. 700 Congrats! Well you may not be happy with the score but it may still be enough for what you want to do...so do a little investigation about what uni. you want to go to and what score that uni is looking for. 680 is definitely not a bad score. good luck.
  10. Congrats! Could you provide the breakdown of your earlier scores?
  11. Jay, What has happened is very unfortunate and can not be undone. The sooner you let this experience pass you the better it will be...so get started on the "journey" again and maybe you are now heading for a better "destination". http://www.motivatingquotes.com/dontever.htm
  12. KK Congrats! Wish you all the best for the apps phase. Looking forward to your test experience.
  13. Jay Congrats! You might find this interesting http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/MB_05_Scoreboard.pdf
  14. Thanks TG - good luck as you get into the next phase of the journey
  15. Tam, Wt did you do in particular to improve ur verbal?
  16. I am not able to comprehend the question....what charge are we referring to here? anyone?
  17. Jay - Agreed. If I combine the equatined derived, it will yield the same result and thus C is the answer.
  18. ananda, wt ws the breakdown of ur GPrep practice scores?
  19. Congrats! I thought there ws a problem with ur score because Q 47 & V 40 would mean a lot more, but it is clear now that Q is 42 instead. Surely well deserved and good luck for ur apps.
  20. Q1 - Stmt1 LongDist = 10min Total = 15min => Local = 5min =>10(1) + 5(.5) = 10+2.5=12.5 => Charges did not waive Suff Stmt 2: Total = 23 We have no information about long & local calls. If there were no local calls there would be no need to waive any charges... Insuff. A Q3: is f(x^2) Stmt1: => f(x) => f(x).f(x)>=0 but we can not find out f(x^2) based on this Stmt2: if x Since x^2 is positive, f(x^2)=-x^2 thus f(x^2) if x>=0, f(x).f(x)=-x.-x=x^2 Since x^2 is positive, f(x^2)=-x^2 thus f(x^2) Suff B
  21. A+B+C=50....(1) 15A+12B+18C=480....(2) Stmt1: => A=B+12 => Plug in (1) B+12+B+C=50 or 2B+C=38 => Plug in (2) 15B+180+12B+18C=480 or 27B+18C=300 Two eq. two unknown - Suff Stmt2: => A=2B => Plug in (1) 2B+B+C=50 or 3B+C=50 => Plug in (2) 30B+12B+18C=480 or 42B+18C=480 Two eq. two unknown - Suff D
  22. KK - like ur approach. In inequality one can always divide by +ve number, thus the question is essentially asking if X>1 Stmt1 - x => x-x^2 => x(1-x) => If x is +ve 1-x1 but if x is -ve 1-x>0 or x Not Suff Stmt 2 x => x is not greater than 1 Suff. B
  23. n=9k+3 Stmt1: n=45k+30 n=5*9*k+5*6 n=5(9k+6) Suff Stmt2: n=2k+0 => n could be 0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24 Combining with the value in the question n can only have 12,30,48 etc. Not Suff Thus A
  24. Total = Desert + Coffee - Both + Neither Total = 75% + Coffee - Both + Neither Stmt 1 - 60% of the people who chose dissert also chose coffee. Total = 75% + Coffee - 45 + Neither 100-75+45 = Coffee + Neither 70 = Coffee + Neither Not Suff Stmt 2 - 90% of the people who chose coffee also chose dissert Total = 75% + Coffee - .9Coffee + Neither .25=.1Coffee + Neither Not Suff E - Since no information about neither is given.
