  12. IMO E Statement 1 is not sufficient as it does not tell anything about the number of people who attended or not attended the seminar on the second day. Statement 2 is also not sufficient as it just gives the % of people who have attended the seminar. There is a case where the 10% of the people who did not attend the seminar on day 1 may have attended on day 2 and viceversa. Statement 1 & 2 combined also doesnot give the answer Hence E
  13. A man speaks the truth 3 out of 4 times. He throws a die and reports it to be a 6. What is the probability of it being a 6? (a) 3/8 (b) 5/8 © 3/4 (d) None of the above the probability that it is 6 is 1/6 the probability that the man speaks truth is 3/4 since these two are independent events, the probability that he throws a die and reports it to be 6 is 3/4(1/6) = 1/8 Did i miss something???
  14. Two couples and one single person are seated at random in a row of five chairs. What is the probability that neither of the couples sits together in adjacent chairs? 1/5 1/4 3/8 2/5 1/2
  15. 1stweek 2ndweek total P x 1800-x 1800 Q 9x 9x 7200 10x 1800+8x 9000 given that the two weeks o/p of the P is 20% of 9000 = 1800. from here we ger the two weeks o/p of Q = 9000-1800=7200 given that the output of Q is constant for two weeks the 2nd week output is also 18x = 7200 => x=400 substuting in the table we get 400 to be the P's first week production and 1200 to be the second weeks production. hence the answer is 1200-400=800.... is there anything wrong in the approach???do let me know hence, 9x+9x=7200
  16. oopsss i went wrong...... when m=4 => n=51 and this is the remainder but not 48... sorry guys....
