  3. dont get bogged down with this score. Yes, you can!. Fine, dont think age is the matter in this case. Spend a week sitting all night and doing some problems and keeping busy. Take a few more weeks if you dont improve. You will get back yourself. I worrried about me many times. I am even older than you are. So many commitments with two little kids. But the first powerprep with zero preparation i scored 700Q and 330V:( two days ago. I need 800Q. I am working for it in a slow pace. It is definitely a lack of training and the constant pursuit. Your brain is tuned for something else other than the regular routine books, memorizing and exams. Take a positive note. Dont let bugs run your brain. First, get a high speed with pen and paper. Then try to do it accurately. I am sure you will do. Honestly, age is not a factor to success. Always, keep upbeat about yourself and think of the bright times you were proud of yourself. That is you, the rest is circumstance. So manuever the circumstances to your favor. I take time to write this message is becuase i felt the way you think at one point of time. \ Good luck:)
  4. I gained admission in MSFE program, by waiving the GRE requirement. But i want to get scholarship and so plan to take GRE now. I took the diagnostic yesterday using powerprep exam1. I got 700 in Q and 330 in V with zero preparation. I wanted a perfect 800 in Q and atleast a descent score in V (atleast 500) How do i start? Am i aiming too much?
  5. What is your GMAT score? GPA? and credentials?
  6. I have a question. I have taken one test on december 2005(ETS) and one on April 2006 (pearson). Now i want to send the additional scores. If i request for sending in my scores will ETS 2005 score also be reported. However, in MBA.com in my login page, i do not see any score history for 2005. I only see for pearson. If i want to send in additional scores how will ETS score and Pearson score be sent. Will only the Pearson score be sent? Or should i request ETS to send the score? I am confused.
  7. I would go for E. Eventhough it sold only 4000, the sold videos are seen by many number far exceeding those rentals. So it cannot be taken for granted that only 4000 were sold. E rebuts brads opinion that 4000 is less than 10000s of rentals. But in fact 4000 can have several multiples.
  8. Motorcycle X has been manufactured in the United States for over 70 years. Although one foreign company has copied the motorcycle and is selling it for less, the company has failed to attract motorcycle X customers-some say because its product lacks the exceptionally loud noise made by motorcycle X. But there must be some other explanation. After all, foreign cars tend to be quieter than similar American-made cars, but they sell at least as well. Also, television advertisements for motorcycle X highlighted its durability and sleek lines, not its noise, and the ads typically have voice-overs or rock music rather than engine-roar on the sound track. PLEASE IGNORE THE SPELLING AND grammar. PLEASE FOCUS ON THE CONTENT AND DRAFT The author states that the foreign company did not take over or failed to attract motorcycle X customers could be due to some other reason than less noise it produced. The author’s line of reasoning is that the performance of the foreign cars is somewhat different from that of motorcycle X. This argument in unconvincing for several reasons. It is felt that the foreign cars tend to sell at least as well. First of all, the argument is based upon a questionable assumption that the noise as a desirable parameter. However, it depends on the super jet cars noise or the lousy disturbing noise. The automation and technology are devised in mechanics for improving silent cars over a period of time. In this sense, the motorcycle X cars loud noise over the foreign cars as desirable is simply not acceptable. Moreover, the ads typically have some voices at background to substantiate the negative factor of American cars-typically producing exceptionally loud noise. Secondly, the author assumes that there could be some other explanation or reason for why foreign companies failed to attract motorcycle X customers. It seems equally reasonable to assume that the sleek and durability or comfort issues could be the reason behind American cars being on the sale. Most American cars on an average are bigger than the foreign cars and mainly focus on comfort of the passenger. Foreign cars are always aimed at working class and middle class population and hence the cheaper price. Thus the priority of cost takes over comfort in foreign cars, specifically space, smooth ride and comfort. While, the comfort and opinions of general public vary in a diverse range, it is not possible to expect only cost or noise as an issue. Finally, the author fails to consider that the sales of foreign cars are almost equal to that of American cars. It could be a wrong notion to mention that foreign cars did not take over the market. For example, foreign car Toyota has its own reputation compared to the Cheverolet, the American car. However, the inventory and sales of these two cars could be equal in every respect. The author’s argument that some other explanation for the failure to attract motorcycle X, the American car, is valid on ground of many other factors. In sum, I agree that foreign cars has not just attracted American car business running it to shut down. However, depending on the fine line between comfort and cost it varies. On balance, existence of foreign cars did not subside sale of American cars of has run out of market. Each has its own reasons behind.
