  1. Hi guys , I have the notes in hard copy ..give me some time i will upload a word document of the content
  2. Hi gmatter-1, I bought 5 q test and 5 verbal test for 25$ I guess , there was a scheme going on thenn..i would say quant test are gud ...If you can get to 5-6 mistakes ..ur prep is on track to get a 50..this is based on my experience.... As such I am not sure I should recommend you or not ..overall I found them gud ......Just like how I mentioned before I over prepared a bit because I wasnt confident on math....so I wanted to practice as much as I could .. between one of the test in math and verval is free I guess the last or 1st test ..that will give you an indication of their quality
  3. Hi effective factor, these are the resources I used for verbal 1000 sc lsat cr 1000 rc Manhattan sc guide OG 10 800 Bob replies ...I made notes of all 800Bob replies ..... LSAT cr is the best resorce available for CR , I solved almost the entire stuff of LSAT CR -My efficiency was 19-21/25 The step by step approach to SC was 1. Manahttan Rules 2. 800 bob rules..all the replies by him in TM forums 3. OG quesions and explanation 4.1000 sc rules .... also I answered/posted many questions on TM forums ..That helped a lot I solved almost all the questions of 1000 SC ..My efficiency at the end was 9-10/10.... Regarding RC - practiced from 1000 RC did around 100 of them efficiency in the end was 3-4/4
  4. Hi Cheesburst , The whole gmat thing is about teh belief that 'I can do it'. Confidence is the key in cracking the exam .I guess u havent started with gmat prep . U can try one of the test and see if you get a 50. If not you can keep praticing from the stuiff that I mentioned. If you havent started the gmat prep , refrain from doing gmatprep questions in the forums. Cause , gmat prep is the best indicator of ur score and u dont want to have a question that you have already attempted. between the link to manhattan forum is http://www.manhattan gmat.com/forums. you can also try the 800score test . I used to 48-50 range in math ..see if you get the same. Also you can compare your score with other guys who have posted their mock scores.
  5. Hi cheeseburst , As per your query on quant, mgmat is certainly on the harder side , but still if you are aiming 50-51 in quant , 42-43 on mgmat is on lower side , I guess you must try to reach 47+ on quant on mgmat. Regarding resources for math this is what i used TM forums manhattan challenge problem(200 hard problems on quant) manhattan form beatthegmat forum gmatclub math test(did around 5 of them) I used a lot of material , I just felt I needed to prepare that much to get a good score in quant, you can figure how many resources you need... p.s . I guess brushing the basics from a good quant book wont be a bad idea .Analize your mistake and find out whether your mistake was a conceptual one or a careless mistake . Go back and refer basics again if its a conceptual one.. Between ,these very my rest scores . I dont rem the break of many of them manhattan cat1- 730(q49, v41) cat2-700 cat3-700 cat4-700 800score.com test3- 730 test4-750 quant was around 48-49 and verbal arond 44-45 all the best with your efforts
  6. Hi guys , Gave the gmat yesterday and got a 740..happy with the score..a great thanks to TM community ...will write a debrief soon...
  7. hi take the example of 25 andf 27 as n for 25 take 5 as P. p is divisor of 25 so is p^2 ,and 25 is a sqaure of an integer now n=27, p= 3 p is a divisor of n and so is 9, but 27 is not a square of an integer
  8. Ideally, groups focused on environmental justice should be concerned with how new government projects will impact local populations. Specifically whether the projects would pose an unjust burden for lower-income and minority communities. 1. will impact local populations. Specifically whether the projects would pose an unjust burden 2. will impact local populations, specifically whether the projects would pose an unjust burden 3. will impact local populations and pose an unjust burden 4. will impact local populations and, specifically, pose an unjust burden 5. will be impacting local populations and posing an unjust burden
  9. Due to a sharp rise in the price of gasoline, commuters who drive to work in the center of the city are facing a large increase in transportation expenses that will limit the funds they have available to spend in other areas. In order to forestall a slowdown in the local economy, the city council has decided that fares on all forms of public transportation will be suspended for the next three months. Clearly, if commuters can get to work more cheaply, they will have more money left over to spend in other sectors of the economy, and the city’s finances on the whole will not be negatively affected by higher gasoline prices. If all of the statements above are true, which of the following is most likely to be damaged by the city council’s plan? 1. A local chain of service stations, which will see fewer customers during the daily commute. 2. Members of the bus drivers’ union, who will be forced to add more routes and work longer hours. 3. The city council’s budget, which will be unbalanced after receiving no revenue from transit fares for three months. 4. Commuters who already use public transportation daily and who will face crowded conditions and travel delays. 5. Commuters who do not live near public transportation routes and will not be able to take advantage of the suspended fares.
  10. Most people who betray their country through some form of espionage are driven by irrational desires to feel powerful or important, to seek revenge, or even to take risks. If these people were thinking rationally, they would not be involved in such self-destructive behavior. The argument above rests on which of the following assumptions? 1. Self-destruction is the most frequent result of espionage. 2. The desire to feel powerful is always irrational. 3. Those involved in espionage do not have rational reasons for their behavior. 4. Espionage is rarely a successful way to gain revenge. 5. Risk-taking is a less frequent motivation for espionage than the desire to feel important.
  11. Hi guys , In this sentence The picnic was attended by Jim and me , what is the subject , This sentence is written in passive form ,in which the subject of the sentence should be acted upon , thus the subject as according to me should be Jim and I , and thus the usage of me is incorrect
  12. E for me , both positive and negative slopes are possible
  13. A for me First statemnet says x = y* (3y+7), clearly x is a multiple of y, (3y+7)will be an integer , since y is a positive integer 2nd statment says x(x-1) will be a multiple of y nw take a case when y = 3 and x-1 is 3 then x = 4 x(x-1 ) is a multiple of 3 , but x is not a multiple of 3 nw take x = 6 , again x(x-1) is a multiple of 3 and x is also a mutiple of 3 hence b is insufficient
