  1. "as an expert does" looks grammatically correct but is wordy when compared to "like an expert" Also, in A is not parallel when stating the use of computers(to diagnose......deciding). The last phrase in A should be "or for other purposes such as these" B has a incorrect modifier starting with which. C - correct D - can avoid 'would' E - nonsense
  2. B is incorrect. The opening modifier in B should modify the noun Japan not Japan's population.
  3. :) thats where it is misleading identify the subject...its not 'ways' but 'one of the ways' one of the surest, easiest, and least expensive ways remove the middleman
  4. IMO its A. though the perfect tense creates a bit of uneasyness(a simple past tense "suffered" makes more sense)...but none of the other options fit better than A. (B) "suffer major depression" "if they are born since 1955" present tense, thus wrong © "have suffered" "do by the age of twenty-four" tense mis-match + "do" doesn't fit well (D) (E) also use present tense
  5. Forward-thinking business leaderscan now install technologically sophisticated communication systems quickly enough so as not to lose information in a lengthy conversation. A. so as not to lose information B. that information is not lost C. so that there is not lost information D. and thus not lose information E. and this way there is no information lost
  6. My understanding of "empty it": The pronoun "it" here appears in a modifier which opens the sentence. Thus it should be followed that this "it" refers to the subject in the main clause. Erin, i hope this is correct.
  7. This is subjunctive mood, when u r making a wish so this should have the participle form of the verb. second is correct, as per this logic. Erin, pls correct me if m wrong.
  8. Hi, a friend of mine has given me 5 sectional tests each for verbal and quant from 800score.com (gmat1v-5v and gmat1m-5m). 1. Does 800Score.com provides full tests other than these? 2. How to rate my performance based on my sectional scores? Have taken 3 verbal tests and these are the score gmat1v: 39 (Out of 41, 29 correct) Percentile: 81% gmat2v: 37 (Out of 41, 29 correct) Percentile: 76% gmat3v: 37 (Out of 41, 29 correct) Percentile: 76%
