I understand now... THANK YOU! My main problem was that I was forgetting that stmt 1 was giving the "ratio" of the distributed stationary to each employee and not the actual number of stationary items each staff member received. 2:3:4 was the way the stationary was distributed, however that is the "lowest form" of the ratio... it could be in fact that each member received the stationary in the ratio of 4:6:8 OR 6:9:12 (the latter is better because the numbers work with the question) Thanks for your help and patience DWarrior!

Thanks for the clarification DWarrior and vbhup2 ...but I still don't see it.. If stmt 1 says each employee individually received each stationary in that combination (pens/stationary = 2/9, pencils/stationarty = 3/9, pads/stationary = 4/9) why can it be also considered that each person got 6 pens, 9 pencils, 12 pads or any other combo. I don't see how we can consider any other combination of staff receiving stationary when stmt 1 gives us the break down. I feel like my thinking about stmt 1 is incorrect. I appreciate your time in explaining this to me!

I need to know why the answer is not C, and E as other threads have discussed. Thanks guys and gals!

I read that the ETS test has the same issues...however it is explicitly noted in the "info screens" before you start the test that this will occur aka you can only see your scores once etc. I learned it the hard way too..now everytime I write the scores down on a blank paper...just incase I click something and I'm left with only a mental image of my score!! Is it possible to see the answers to the questions? I didn't flag any of the questions..is that why?

IMO... E Stmt 1 alone doesn't give any info about x so it is insufficient Stmt 2 alone doesn't give you y-x (by re-arranging it) so it is insufficient When you consider both statements together using a fractional y you will get inconclusive results...therefore E vbhup2 shows it well with numbers.

Hi there Writing on the the lamenated paper they provide is be different then regular paper and pen. If you want to get feel for it, buy these supplies from a store and practice doing questions with it. I hope that helps.
