Hi Guys,
I am a final year undergraduate student who wants to apply for PhD programs in public policy (NOT ECONOMICS) directly. Is that possible? I major in social sciences (don't focus on anything, but rather an interdisciplinary major). I have taken math courses like Linear Algebra and Single Variable Calculus.
I have very decent grades and also did a research internship with the UN. I am looking for public policy programs which focus on development issues (even better with a focus on South Asia, but that's not necessary), mostly emphasizing the political/sociological dimensions than solely on economics (of course i know that Economics should be there for Pub Pol, and I am interested to study that as well....but i'm looking for programs with more focus on pol sci, sociology with a little bit of econ )
Can you guys help me come up with a list of schools? I checked the USnews rankings but most programs there (somehow) don't accept Phd students who haven't completed a master's degree. I was also thinking about safety schools in this regard....
I was also wondering if there are any MPP programs that give financial aid to international students..
Hope to hear from you guys soon...
