Hi Pearl004, I guess you are all set. Congrats! Your lawyer will probably get the documents soon. Maybe the website is not updated very frequently (that's my only explanation). What is your batch number? I am also in MD, whereabout in MD are you?

BTW, I remember another thread where an American citizen was going through the same kind of thing (s/he graduated from a university in the Philippines as well). Try to search for the thread (sorry I don't rememer the name of the user) in the forum and s/he could give you some more info.

Between point 1) and point 2) they say "AND" (not "or"), so the two things must occur at the same time. You need to have a license to be eligible to sit for the FPGEC. Again, this is how I understand the paragraph. Please call NABP to be 100% sure about it and to check if there is any waiver that can apply to your case. Good luck!

Hi, Your degree will probably be considered the equivalent of a US Bachelor of Science. Anyway you will have to submit copies of your degree/s to an external evaluator which will make the final decision. Good luck!

Hi Recipe7, I have just copied below some lines from the FPGEC Application Bulletin (page 18) [http://www.nabp.net/ftpfiles/bulletins/FPGECAppRegBulletin.pdf]: "If you were not a citizen of the country or jurisdiction where your pharmacy degree was earned, and therefore were unable to obtain licensure and/or registration to practice pharmacy, you must submit 1. official proof of licensure and/or registration in whichever country or jurisdiction it was obtained; and 2. an official statement, issued by the appropriate government official of the country or jurisdiction where your degree was earned, confirming that you would be eligible for licensure and/or registration if you were a citizen." My understanding is that, even if you can't get the license in the country where you got your pharmacy degree, you need to have a license/registration to submit with your FPGEC application. If you want to be double sure call NABP. Good luck!

As far as I know the batch number should give us an idea of where we stand in the line. My batch No. is 144, my case is still pending (Vermont).

No, if you get a receipt notice it doesn't mean your petition is automatically going to be approved. The receipt notice is just a document that confirms USCIS has received your case. Once your case is approved they send you a notice of approval. They have received about 45000 petitions over the past month, I guess it will take a while before they send all receipt notices. I am sure you will soon get yours.

They actually spend thousands of dollars: Base Filing Fee : $320 ACWIA Fee: $750 (1-25 Employees) or $1500 (more than 25 Employees) Fraud Fee: $500 Premium Processing: $1000 (from Thought Garage » H1B 2009: How Much Does A H1B Cost? (File By Apr 1 2008)). To USCIS fees you should add the attorney fees (a couple of thousands?).

Once you receive the receipt notice from your employer you can use that number to check the application status on the USCIS website (on their website you can also create an email alert for your case).

We are going to receive a receipt notice (USCIS sends it to the employer) in probably two weeks. Once you have that number you can check online the status of your application on the USCIS website.

Hi, USCIS has received a certain number of applications without hitting the cap for FY2010. They will accept applications until they reach the limit. The applications they have received so far are going to be processed. USCIS will announce the day when they will stop accepting cap-subject applications (in a month, two months... nobody knows). This will be the final receipt date. If on that day they end up having too many applications they may randomly select some of the applications (received on the final receipt date) and reject the others. Hope this was clear.
