Hi! If you pass the March 14 Toefl-IBT, then expect your certificate to arrive in 4-5 weeks. It does not matter if you fail the next IBT because passing scores are what matters to NABP. Good luck..:)

I got my June '07 result in Daly City,CA 8 days after the results were mailed. My friend from the Philippines got hers after 4 days only. It is a common misconception that those who live afar will get their results late. Everyone is really getting nervous, and waiting is unbearable! Hoping that everybody gets positive result! Hello Dreamfaith and Laziophilic! Thanks! :) I am posting once again my previous thread regarding this. I really have no idea of the cause of the delay. Maybe because it was an old file, and my English tests were overlooked. Or maybe the Board reviewed my papers and had a debate on whether to credit the old tests or not. I really do not know. I only got my certificate after writing them a letter with my TOEFL and TSE scores attached. I know people with similar cases (delayed certificate) - one got it after 5 months, the other got it after 8 months but these happened years ago. Based on what I read on this forum, I think NABP is more efficient now with ECE helping them with the evaluation and I do not see jammed cases like mine anymore. Question About Fpgee Certification I passed the TOEFL and TSE in May 2003 and had the results reported to FPGEC by ETS. Due to some problems, I only had the chance to sit for the FPGEE last June, which I also passed. I am now worried that my English exams might be invalidated because it reached the 2-year expiration date previously imposed by the Board, and implementation of the no-validity English exams came about only on August 2005, three months after my exams were supposed to have expired. I have not obtained my certificate until now and still waiting. I inquired over the phone and I was informed that once the results were reported then it is fine. But of course I am still worried until I receive the certificate itself. Also, just thinking of repeating the exam is already giving me the creeps especially knowing the distress that TOEFL IBT is imparting the others. Is there anybody in the same situation as mine?

Two pencils will be provided and are already sharpened. Passport as identification is usually enough. In case this is not sufficient, you have to provide an ID with a picture and signature like a driver's license or your professional license. Good luck everyone!!:tup:

Hello, I did not see any question about Nuclear Pharmacy last June. But there were questions on General Chemistry and IUPAC naming. I am not sure if the same thing will happen on the succeeding exams. You can never expect what will come out in FPGEE, so do a lot of studying. Good luck.

Hello, I took the TSE a few years back and I would like to stress on some points on the things I did to pass. A month before the test, I tried to do these everyday: 1) I watch English news 2) I speak English everyday at work and at home 3) During my spare time, I try to think of my everyday itinerary in English 4) I answered all of the TOEFL writing topics in paper, then read them aloud using a recorder then listened to my voice afterwards 5) I think of 5-10 questions a day then answer them, anything under the sun, even silly questions like-what do you think of men with beard? 6) Tried to mimic how the Americans talk (here in our country, we read the words per syllable like cho-co-late, but Americans pronounce it as Choclet; or to-wel, to them it is tawl!) 7) I mastered timing my answers in seconds (for a 30-second question, how many sentences can you form so you will not be cut) 8) I made a list of probable adjectives that I might use (For example in the tell the direction question- I did not only say go right then go left then go straight. You have to expand your imagination as if you were there. Say something like across the street you can see a fuschia neon sign, and in front of the building is a garden of roses with a beautifully carved angel on the middle of the fountain). For the advantage and disadvantage questions, see to it that you answer at least two each, and then state your reasons why. Remember that there are no wrong or correct answers on this type of question; you just need to support which side are you. For the tell the story that the pictures show: Be sure to mention at least one detail in every picture, and not skip let’s say picture 2 then proceed to picture 3. Then answer the accompanying question. Mine was how would I convince the store owner to give me a refund on the rented bike that I used for less than 5 minutes because the tire was punctured. I answered this as if I was really talking to the person starting with greeting, then relaying the problem, then pausing for a little while (the owner’s time to talk), you should also sound like you have really convinced him to give your money back, then thank the person afterwards. For the graph question, try to analyze every kind of graph (line, bar, pie). My question was to compare the TV viewing habits of people in the 70’s vs the 90’s. Start your answer with ‘These are pie graphs comparing the TV viewing habits of people in the 70’s and 90’s.’ Then continue analyzing the statistics, like “I have observed that those who watch the news in the 70’s decreased drastically in the 90’s by half, from 40% to 20%. Then compare all those left. Accompanying question was, which do I prefer watching among the 4 choices- news,sports,comedy,action. I chose comedy and stated the reasons why, and ended my answer with ‘it takes only a few muscles to smile, while a lot to frown, and laughter is still the best medicine!’ I did not enroll in a review class, nor bought CD’s or anything else. These tips were told by my friends who passed TSE as well. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the TSE format, then practice a lot. Hope these would help you. Good luck!

It is a good thing that you did not register for the December exam. What you need to do now is to inform the Board through writing that you want to defer your test date. Be sure that it will be received before the deadline, which I think is around the 2nd or 3rd week of October. Doing so after that would mean paying a penalty. A response will then be mailed to you of what to do next.

Hello everyone, Just a reminder: As I have observed in the previous exams, the New York testing center closes after one to two weeks of receiving your registration letters because it gets filled so fast. So if you are planning to take the exam in NY, be sure to register as soon as possible! (registering on-line would be the fastest way) Good luck!

Hello I can do it, I took the exam in San Mateo, California last June. It was accessible for me because I came from my relative’s place in San Francisco which was only about 20 minutes away (same time if I took the test in San Jose). I have friends who stayed in Best Western Hotel and rode the cab and did not have problems reaching the testing site. I can say that whichever test center you will register, the best thing to do is to find the nearest place or hotel from that testing center for your convenience. Good luck on your test! :)

We are in the same boat nasir, i am sooo worried! I waited for the mailman for 2 hours but didn't get any result. Hope to get it by tomorrow.
