guys, i am attending warwick Msc fin and eco program its true som some big names have quit like Lucio sarno, neil rankin, Stewart hodges but still for macro and finance it is one of the best in uk .

well, elcapitano may still be relying on conventional wisdom and knowledge in order to convince himself that when you are at oxbridge you have arrived. But sadly as of now markets are in shambles ,firms like Deloitte and Lehman have deferred their campus hunts of its employees . Surely in normal scenario oxbridge does command respect..

well, i think according to the new IGS scheme after masters u can work for 2 years. and about jobs markets are bleeding take my word i know people from LSE, warwick,even oxford not getting jobs ( good ones of course) in areas such as IB which are fiercely competed for.

hi, i have already read the posts which excoriated warwick for its baseless exam structure, bad teaching etc. But all of the above has been said in regards to the Msc Eco course. Also, many have asserted that you have to get a recommendation of the kind that u r best student to be taught in a deacde. Well, all this bogs me down i have a undergard gpa of 3.8 gre 800q 610v and 4.0 awa and i am a non english native background so i think above scores in verbal and awa are good. BUT does anyone has a different story altogether about MFE which is taught by WBS and with the eco department. Realisticaly how well i have to do to get into a top programmes in usa.

well, i have almost similar profile and will attendin WARWICK BUSINESS SCHOOL this fall for their MFE. For getting into the likes of MIT, HARVARD basically the ivy league or a top 20 program should i take one year break and do RA'S , publish papers to get into these prestigious universities with fellowships? Or get agood GPA in the MFE and apply directly.

well, if u want apply to uk except for oxford , cambridge and LSE also, not forget imperial u wont require a gre score. And schools like WBS AND MBS are quite good given IN the FINANCIAL TIMES rankings their rankings were 24 and 28 respectively. Compared to SAID which was 19 th with all its hype.

I have recieved offers for admission into Msc economics at LSE and Msc finance and economics at warwick business school please advise whether i should go for brand LSE or for MFE at WBS.

coyote i believe u r preparing for CAT in india u have to be adept with number systems to answer these. i dont think this will appear in the gre [ i hope so]

geometry is more based on imagination but practice surely saves time my gre is on 15nov.I have done barrons, nova, kaplan, powerprep,gre bible . As regarding websites mygretutor.com, number2.com. not 2 forget the valuable threads.
