hi natural, dont worry, i have got my tets tomorrow and guess I am just trying to relax. dont think abt your score, just keep on giving your tests in PP , tht will giv you more confidence and will adjust you to the different sections. i hav given 9 PP tets so far,, scores were kinds ok. u dont worry. download the different practice sections from the TOEFL website. ur scoreis good, so stay cool, take the chill pill. all the best swatasiddha

ravli, guess wht, sometimes it can be a backlass too if you take too many tests. my test is on 17th. hav taken 9 tests already. my latest score as on OCT 5th was 240-297 on PP. L-30, S12-29, R30, the other scores, I hav posted above. now I dont really trust this score. the PP tests hav afixed library of Rc and Listening files..so you r bound to get practise by listening to these files only. i will now give test may be a day or 2 before the final test. also try giving the test with some kind of disturbance in the background. tht will help you adjust your concentration.. in the final test, there will be noises around, I am making myself prepared for tht mentally. P.S. your scores r good. dont worry. you will do good in test. all the best swatasiddha

hey, billy. i just got registered in your site 2 days back and trust me..the sites TOO GOOD. I hav already posted a few msgs. and the more I am reading the more I am getting inspiration.. I got a GRE score of 1770/2400, before the format changed.. my luck it changed a week after I gav my test... went down in analytical which they elimainated later. feel like kicking my fate. anyway plan to giv my gre. again hweyyy, please tell me whts the situation out in US, I am from India, and they hav cut down our visa prospects by 95% due to 9/11. I am scared that I might not get visa at all. [V]:( and please tell me in details how to apply for a grad school.. hi minhnp, dont worry, I hav my test on 17th of oct and I from india. you will receive your letter soon. when did you get urself registered. I got myself registered 4-5 days back. did you do it by phone? if yes they must hav given you a confirmation number,and the prometric id number. keep that confirm. number in place. thats the most imp. even if you dont get ut number they hav you registered, go to the centre on the test day and tell your proble. and giv your confirmation number.. you will be able to giv the test. they hav all recorded intheir computer. snail mail isa a**** thing. dont worry. also you can go to the website of your prometric centre, type your confirmation number, and you can take aprint out of your letter which they will post in thir website. i havnt received my lettet yet, but I hav taken a print out from http://www.prometricindia.com ur website will be different, as you r in vietnam. or call the guys at your prometric centre and ask for their website and tell them your problem. nothhing to worry as long you hav your confirmation number, no one can stop you from giving the test, not even george bush Jr. cheers, swatasiddha

I am an architect, did my bachelors in architecture from I.I.T.roorkee, now IIT in India is the best engineering coll in india as well as in asia, if you hav heard abt IIT. but my field requires higher edu,otherwise scope very less. so applying for architecture masters, but more interested in special effects, visual arts, especially from canada, but I am also applying for UK univs, hey they r also pretty good in archi, and dont suffer from 9/11 syndrome. and also I can get a good schol from cheving scholarships. so basically I need an admission from UK univs and a schol to support me, so more important for me is to get atleast 250 in TOEFL to get thru... one yr of masters in architecture, and then well gotta decide. so wht do you say. pls write to me hah......u r a very appreciative and kind person, sveta. luv, swatasiddha, take care. dont lose heart. you can do it.

HI, svetlana, dont lose heart at all. you can definitely start afresh. you have ahuge potential you know, from your q score 800 which is simply mindboggling. I personally got 1250. that too when in the previous format of GRE when they used to include the analytical part also and I landed up with 1770. imagine after I gave my test a week later they change dthe format and elimated the analytical part. for which I nearly spent maximum time and which ;led to my downfall. had there been no analytical, I surely could hav scored higher. but.. see I am planning to giv GRE again and now with a vengeance. and more over I am from india, they cut short our visa chances by 95% due to 9/11 syndrome. but I am still trying. got my TOEFL on 17th. dont lose heart... whenver you feel sad, think abt my situation. you can DEFINITELY DO IT. ihav some great softwares for you and links for u. check this out for gre http://www.greguide.com/download.html all the best, luv, swatasiddha.....check my signature.it will help u

hi to all. i had posted a prev msg but it did not appear. so writing again. but will be writing in short. my exam is on 17th oct. hav been taking atleast one test perday. evaluate my scores which I hav taken till date 25th sept -- 193-247 26th sept -- 217-273 - 25/30, 12 to 29, 28/30 27th sept -- 210-267 - 26/30, 12 to 29, 25/30 pls tell me is it too less, if yes then how can I raise my score..or whether this score is ok?? swatasiddha
