The OA is E. I have seen it. Not D. D implies that the deal is being done simply to make it the largest manufacturer in the office market regardless of whether deal is good or bad for the manufacturer. E is incidental. My doubt is--- why can't the manufacturer make the deal to just make it the largest manufacturer in the office market? Why does the sentence here doesn't allow this meaning to sink in?
