  1. Thanks Tumboka for answering my first question, but unfortunately it's the 2nd question that I'm more concerned about. Is there also a time limit to pass the test? I am taking the test for the first time in October but if I don't pass, then the next time I can take it is January which is already 1 year since I recieved my approval to take the Naplex. I'm afraid they are going to make me submit all the paperwork again if I don't pass within the 12 month period.
  2. Does anybody know what is the best way to study/get ready for CPJE? Your reply would be appreciated! Thanks!
  3. Hi everyone! Does anybody know how many times we can try NAPLEX & CPJE in CA? Is there any time limit to pass both of them? Thanks!

  5. Thank you so much, Editkalo!!! Good luck to you, too:-)
  6. Thank you for your quick response, Smileysilvia! Yes, I'll get in contact with CA BOP to make sure. Thanks, again!
  7. Hi penie, I have the same question. Have you gotten any certain answers yet? Thanks!
  8. Hi Editkalo, Have you gotten any clear answers yet? Actually, I have the same question since I'm doing my internship at an independent pharmacy. I have been wondering if I would have to do my hours at a hospital too. Also, I'd like to ask you to make sure if there is no registration of preceptor required in advance. ( Only we have to do is to submit the affidavit after all hours done, right?) Thanks!!!
  9. Hi California Pharmacists and Interns, I’m trying to find out if I need some hospital hours to complete my CA internship. Some people say you need some hospital hours and some say it’s only recommended but not required. Does anyone know the correct answer based on an actual example? Also, if it’s required, is there a minimum number of hospital hours? I find many people with an opinion, but I can’t find anyone who knows for certain. Thanks!
  10. Has anyone seen any other RECENT articles or blogs about the pharmacist job market in the US? I'm interested to hear some accurate stories about what areas might still have jobs available. I've seen the "The Adequacy of Pharmacist Supply: 2004 to 2030" article and the US News Report on job prospects for Pharmacists, but they do not talk at all about regional differences in demand.
  11. Everyone on this forum needs to know that there is NOT A SHORTAGE of Pharmacists anymore. There's a GLUT!!! Read the comments from 30+ pharmacists around the US at the link below. The shortage that existed three years ago has been over for a while, but the news has been very slow to make it to those of us who have been so focused on passing our tests. I passed the FPGEE and the TOEFL after 25 tries one year ago, and I still have not found an internship in CA even though I have a Green Card. Not even as a volunteer. I wish I had known about the glut earlier. I've wasted so much time, money and tears for nothing. Please do not make the same mistake yourself. The blog is at: "www.pharmacytimes.com/editors-note/pharmacy/Eckelblog-111809" The important part is the comments at the bottom of the page.
