  1. we can eliminate A,C,E because of not using parallelism : either using... or + using... There are only B, D left.Let look at the verb exhibit. the subject here is the"animals" plural. therefore D is the final answer.
  2. I found the answer from another web site
  3. No way. You divide both sides by Y but you forget the condition that Y>0. If Y to For example if x = 2, y = -3 then 7x-2y = 16 + 6 > 0. INSUFF 2. Is also insuff ; for example y = -3; x = 5 we also have -(-3) Both combine are also insuff. therefore E is my answer
  4. Yeah. I think C. $=4 is insuff because @ and # can be (3,1) if @>1, @ can be 2 or 3; if @ = 2 then # must be 2. this can not happen 'cause @,#,$ are different. therefore @ can only be 3 and # = 1 SUFF
  5. A is the correct answer because. x^2 >9 means x>3 or x
  6. Here is the definition based on GMAT Review "The number -2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5....are consecutive integers. Consecutive integers can be represented by n, n + 1, n+2, n+3... where n is an integer. The numbers 0,2,4,6,8,...are consecutive even integers, and 1,3,5,7,9...are consecutive odd integers. Consecutive even integers can be represented by 2n,2n+2, 2n+4...., and consecutive odd integers can be represent 2n+1, 2n+3, 2n+5.... where n is an integer."" Hope this help
  7. Another solution We must compare 3^5 and 5^3. Divide both side by 3^3 thus we compare 3^2 with (5/3)^3. 9 ? (5/3)^3. Notice that 5/3 In conclusion 3^5 > 5^3
  8. Clearly x = 19. To find y, assume that the Math and English students overlap as little as possible. Since there are 5 students who are not taking Math, the smallest overlap is 22- 5 = 17. Then if the History students overlap the 8 math students not taking English and the 5 English students not taking math, there must be 19 - 5 - 8 = 6 history students also taking both Math and English. Thus y = 6 and x + y = 25 hence the final answer choice is E
  9. For #1. I got the answer from another website. Hope this help
