Anybody studying from PassNaplexNow and planning to sit for the exam in July? Just want to brush up most of the chapters over phone. Please PM me if Interested. Thanks!
  2. Hi, You can do unpaid internship on H4. One of my friend has done that way. Good luck
  3. Hi abhanan! For integrated writing, when you read the passage, read out only the last sentence (Author's claim) of the first paragraph, first sentence (Supporting reasons for the author's claim) of all the other three paragraphs and write down those points on your scratch paper. In the remaining reading time, try to read and understand why the author has mentioned those reasons in detail. If you know those reasons in detail, you will know what notes to take while you listen to the lecture. When you listen to the lecture, concentrate on those points that oppose the reasons in reading. While you write the essay, try to incorporate each and every word that you have written on your scratch paper from the lecture. Write only 1 sentence from the reading in each paragraph of your essay. Write more than 250 words to get a high score. Follow Notefull format to write this essay. For speaking section, for example in 3rd question, you should know that you are going to read a passage (notice/ letter/ newspaper) mentioning a change and two reasons for that change. If you know these two reasons, it helps you taking notes. While you listen to the talk you have to take notes on whether the speaker is happy with the change or not. If he says the change is a great idea then he definitely support those two reasons mentioned in the passage/ If he says that the change is a bad idea then he definitely would oppose those reasons in the passage. So when you here the first expression of the speaker, you have to decide what he is going to say next. So knowing the reasons for the change is very important in this question. When you start speaking for this question, talk like this " According to the notice/ letter/ newspaper, the university/ school/ college is changing / should change (Say the change) because (1st reason) and also (2nd reason). The man/woman in the conversation says it's a good/bad idea. First, he/she explains that (1st reason) and second, he/she says that (2nd reason). That's why the man/woman says it's a great/bad idea. So for each question memorize the format of the lecture/ conversation and take notes exactly on that. When you speak with the timer, record it and write down those sentences you speak and make sure that how many sentences you are able to speak in 45/60s. I used to speak 8-10 (On an average 9) sentences. If the notes that I have taken are more, then I used to underline/ mark only 9 sentences that are important and I used to speak only those sentences so that I can finish speaking within time. Hope this helps. If you need more information feel free to ask. Wish you Good luck!!
  4. :victorious: Hi Friends! I was struggling to get 26 in Speaking for quite some time now. I always used to get 23-24. Even after taking Notefull 3 week speaking course, I received 24. Notefull templates are really very good and you will get the required score if you speak properly and finish speaking within time. I definitely recommend Notefull course. Joseph is very helpful. I spoke well in speaking section but always had tough time in finishing the answer within 45s/60s. I gave the test on 16th Nov and 2nd Dec and both the times I received 28 in speaking and 29/28 in Writing. If someone is getting 22-24 in speaking and having hard time getting 26, my suggestion is to change the templates. I slightly tweaked Notefull templates and made my own. My templates were short, so that I can speak more about what the speakers have talked. That helped me a lot in getting the score more than I actually needed. Before the test, say to yourself that you can do well and you have to be calm and cool. If you can get the first one or two questions right, you're likely to be in the right groove for the remaining 4 or 5 questions. Take appropriate notes. Don’t talk like you are reading loudly something. Instead, be calm and talk smoothly in such a way that you are talking to your friend while answering the questions. Try not to repeat the word or a sentence. If anybody needs any help in speaking and writing sections from me in getting a good score, please feel free to ask. I wish you all good luck for the TOEFL!! :encouragement:
  5. You have to start speaking by mentioning the title and its definition from passage, followed by explaining the example from the lecture.
  6. I don't think ETS offers re scoring facility to Reading and listening. Confirm by calling ETS.
  7. Thank you Corey, I thought I might have got 7.5 - 8 this time. In Independent essay level has jumped from 2.5-3.5 to 4-5 where as the level for Integrated essay remained the same. I have applied for rescoring. Dont know what will happen. srvcg
  8. Hi everyone, Yesterday I received toefl result for the exam which I gave on 9th of this month. In my last attempt I received 22 for writing section and my essay level was 2.5-3.5 for both integrated as well as independent essay. This time also I scored 22 in writing section and the level was, for integrated essay 2.5-3.5 and for independent essay 4-5. I feel that if there is increase in the level then there should be increase in that section. Does anybody have any idea?? I need 24 in writing. Thanks in advance srvcg
  9. Hi topaz, The sentence that they give in question should give a proper meaning after inserting that sentence in one of the squares they have marked in the paragraph. You have to go on clicking on each of the square to check whether that gives proper meaning or not. Regards srvcg
  10. Hi LIlit, I dont think there is any rule for arranging the options in the sequence for Q13. Dont worry Regards srvcg
  11. Hi abaabeel, Congratulations for the great score. I just wanted to know something about the writing section: For the Integrated writing section, whether you wrote about reading passage first and then about the lecture or you mixed up both reading and lecture while writing the essay? Whether you used enough vacabulary in the Independent essay? Whether you wrote more than 225 and 350 words respectively in Integrated and Independent essay? Thanks in advance
  12. I am very much disappointed :-( Today morning when i called ETS, I heard that they have made my result on Tuesday itself but not yet sent any information to my account. There is no change in the score of any of the sections. I doubt whether they check for the second time or not. It is unbelievable. Out of all four sections, I was very happy with my writing followed by speaking and I could not clear both of these sections. :-( :-(
  13. Hi canhantas, I dont think they will send you the rescore result for each section one by one. You just call ets once and get it confirmed. Since morning i have checked my ets account number of times because we both got the order confirmation on the same day. I am too tensed now....
