Lately I've been getting a bunch of email alerts from urch pm's etc. so i decided to check out the forums again and my messages... Boy oh boy is it good to see where it all started..where my journey started.... to shed some light on some questions I read.. There is no such thing as "credited schools list" your application is assessed based on your coursework and not your school. True, rules vary from state to state but getting approved for equivalency is through a national organization called NABP so it doesn't matter what state you're at. Your state laws will matter AFTER you passed the equivalency. i.e. in Nevada, you can take state board before internship in california you cant etc etc... Some word of advice... Only go through this process if you really, truly and honestly believe in your heart want to be a pharmacist. Not because of the $$$$, but because of your true desire to serve and it is your absolute interest. First cause the process is long and tedious requires a lot of patience, investment of time and money. And second, once you become a pharmacist here, it does not end there..it's still an ongoing journey. In short, theres a reason why you're getting paid really good. Before you start the process, ask yourself if this is something that you really want to do. :) Good luck!

I barely passed pre fp! I got 78.. My actual score is 103! Everybody was saying not to take it..but i still did! Now im going to pass on the same advice... Dont bother! Lol. Its a waste.

I used the green barron book for toefl..and youtube videos

After talking bout my whole life story, i forget to mention that one important info - yes, i do have permanent residence.

Warning: long post. But take a quick read for help and encouragement on internship hunting Hi folks. Just want to share my own experience with internship hunting. I know everybody's saying it's hard and most of us have gone for a volunteer position, i was scared myself of how hard its going to be but i always stay optimistic! Always! All the time! Up to the point where i get bashed on a facebook group about me not being realistic and i dont know the real situation of the internship market since i wasnt fpgec cert, yet that time. Anywho. So far it's looking pretty good for me or in my part of the country, at least. I'm in Las Vegas in Nevada if that's of any help. I got my fpgec in january, last month(i took exam in nov) and started applying for tech positions, I thought the intern license was going to take a month or 2 and didnt want to wait for it. So i got an offer at CVS as a tech and it was pretty low, I had to say no. But, i talked to the pharmacist and explained my situation, he said he is willing to sign off my hours for my internship while working as a tech. So you guys should look into that. You can always ask your pharmacist. If they are nice enough, they will say yes. But anyway, i rejected that job at cvs for some reason and it broke my heart a little. Anyway, I got my NV intern lic. a week after i got my fpgec, I was surprised when i got it right away in the mail. So i started emailing and calling district offices, district managers, asking who takes care of internships, calling intern coordinators...in short, i was all over the place calling and emailing people. Word of advice : it's really easy to get info on who's in charge or who coordinates interns or who recruits for the company. Just call and ask nicely. In short, you need to get to the right person. You cant be just sending applications online, i dont think they take a second look on those. In fact, for one of my applications online, i called the west coast recruiter ( yes, the recruiter for the entire west coast for that hospital) about that job and she said there wasnt even a job opening and all these job boards are just trying to get your info, etc. Long story short, 2 days after i got my license, after countless calls and emails, i was hired for an internship. It's only in an independent pharmacy but theyre pretty big so im glad. Think 5 locations. And yes it is a paid internship. I just finished my first week today. AND!! I am going on an interview at walgreens on tuesday for an internship position! Not as a tech! I know it's just an interview its not a sure hire BUT the reason i got called is I emailed the intern coordinator - telling her my situation and giving her a copy of my resume blah blah blah. That being said, i just want to tell everyone on here that it is really not that bad of a situation. Do not give up.always be optimistic about things. Try and try and try and God will see all your effort and sacrifice. Be strong and dont let all the negative feedback or posts get to you. Listen to what they say but pave your own road! Make your journey different from the rest. Sometimes you need to learn to not to absorb what other people say, like what they were saying about the toefl!! But thats a different story altogether. So, there... Told you, long post.

I got 103. I'm so happy and i already sent them toefl scores months ago. I called them today, saidit takes 8-10 weeks for certificate. Hope its earlier.

Where are my fellow test takers for this fpgee season? How's everybody's review going? What materials did you cover? Post pre-fpgee score if you took it. Few more days, good luck to us!

You can send in your application as early as now. If they process it fast, you will be able to sit for April or Nov 2013. If you submit after April, then it will be for Nov2013 or the next one after that. Cant answer second question, Im only about take mine next week. Wish me luck!

Yes, toefl scores are valid for 2 years, so as long as you pass the fpgee within 2 years time then it should be good.
