  1. Hi I am looking for. H1b visa in Michigan, have had no success. Did you find something? Do you know how many years the FPGEC is valid for. I got mine in 2011, and am worried it will expire if I don't find an internship
  2. Hi, to be honest, any state would be great. I dont think we can be too insistent on particular states. Anyone have some info on how to secure a H1B visa at this moment in time? Any help from someone in the USA or who has just secured a H1b visa would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. Anyone out there internship hunting needing to find a H1B visa. I have received my FPGEC from the NABP and am desparately searching for a sponsor to come to the USA and start an internship. Could anyone kindly tell me if any of the big chains like CVS, RITE AID, WALMART are still sponsoring H1B. I know they do not sponsor as much as they used too but I am losing hope here trying to find a opportunity. I am considering coming out to the USA and driving around....it seems like it is so hard. Anyone got any help/advice for me. Thanks :-)
  4. Hi Ramcherry, I am from UK- but have a brand new copy to sell. Do you want it? Private message me.
  5. Hey guys, Does anyone know of any company hiring foreign pharmacist interns in any states? I dont mind locating anywhere as long as I can get sponsored on a H1B visa. Does anyone have any ideas or constructive advice. I am based in the UK and have no luck so far. Getting worried. Thanks Nishil
  6. Hi Guys, Having passed the exam in April, I received my FPGEE Certificate today! Now to find a sponsorship and internship place, anywhere in USA. I know the big companies have stopped taking on foreign pharmacists. Does anyone have any ideas/advice/leads/contacts how to do this? Your help would be much appreciated and making a massive difference to a lot of people's lives. Thank you
  7. Guys on the speaking section be confident. Speak loud and clearly. Practice ALOT. Plan for each of the 6 questions specifically. Rehearse the same lines, anticipate the question and think quickly. The speaking section is very hard. Not only do you need to speak but you need to think quickly and express those words. It is not easy but practice is essential. I got 30 in speaking 1st time I did TOEFL. Good luck.
  8. Hi Guys, Having just passed the FPGEE exam April 2011 with a score of 135, I am now wanting to sell me FPGEE books. I have the following for sale. 1) FPGEE Secrets Study Guide 2) The APhA Complete Review for FPGEE 3) Manan Shroff Full Set - 1000 Questions+Answers, Calculations, Theory, Management Theory, Management 500 Questions+Answers, Chemistry 500 Questions+Answers 5 FPGEE Tests from Manan Shroff on CD. All in excellent condition. Given the nature of the exam, how much in depth they expect you to study and broad range of topics, the more reading and revision you do the better. Also if I can find a buyer for all, I am willing to submit my revision notebook- 200 pages of indepth notes I used to study for my exam. It contains material from other resources I collated and a lot of the questions in the actual exam I managed to study for using my notebook. Please private message me if you are willing to purchase. These books are worth it, and September 2011 test takers need to start revising ASAP in my opinion. Thanks, Nishil
  9. i cant believe they have not offered an apology or explanation
  10. The hardest exam I have every taken. Material not covered in the main book people read. Knowledge they expect is way too deep. I revised hard and still struggled with at least 25% of the questions which I had no idea about and had to guess. Agree with people have written on this link. Was exhausted having had to wait four and a half hours for the exam to start, Good luck to all for results.
  11. Thanks mate. So much to revise....
  12. Hi Guys, For those sitting the exam coming up or those who have experience with the exam; 1) Do we need to memorise the structures of the drugs? 2) Is there much medicinal chemistry on the exam? 3) Are there many calculations in the exam? 4) Do we need to know how to perform Pharmaeconomic calculations, for example working out the elasticity of demand, or net profit ratios of a pharmacy etc... Thanks. Any detailed info much appreciated.
  13. Hi guys, sat my exam December 2010 in US. Am from UK. Got my scores; Reading 26 Listening 30 Speaking 30 Writing 30 Advice; Reading; had to do 5 passages. It was boring that why my concentration went. Practice reading for long periods of time and off a computer screen. Listening; make plenty notes and take time answering questions. Try and get a good gist of the listening passage in case you need to guess. Speaking; speak up, and no gaps. Keep talking use good words. Writing; practice expanding your vocab, structure well. Short, sharp sentences. Answer the question- give examples. Thats is, it a long exam. Get good night sleep before.
  14. Hi I need some advice, info from someone who knows. I am a UK pharmacist; with 2 years A Level study and 4 Years Master of Pharmacy degree 2005. I received my ECE report today and it stated; 1) US Equivalence of 1 year undergraduate study 2) US Equivlance Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. I did also submit letter of documents stating A Levels are a requirement for admission to the degree program in UK. My question to you guys is will the NABP accept this evaluation report and permit me to sit the FPGEE in April 2011?? I am not sure what the ECE did is good enough for the NABP. Please could someone advise me on likelihood of success or whether they have an experience of this? Much appreciated :)
