  1. The Georgetown Masters program in Applied Economics just began last year in 2011. I was wondering if anyone on the site has any information about the program other than what's available on the website. (Here's a link to the program webite: Masters Program - Department of Economics - Georgetown College). Is anyone currently attending the program or are there PhD students at Georgetown that can vouch for the masters program's rigor, intensity, quality of admitted students or flexibility? I know that Georgetown's PhD in Economics program is a top 50 program. I'm wondering if the Master's program reflects this or is better or worse. I was told by the program coordinator that the core classes are taught by full time faculty (not grad students or adjuncts). Other than that I don't know how intense it is. The full-time students from the first class will graduate and get placed this year. So hopefully we can learn what employers and doctoral programs think. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Did you see the housing survey on their website for off campus apartments? I found it useful though I haven't picked out a place yet. I'm going to go down and visit within the next few weeks to get a better idea..
  3. Hello Mary and Totoro. I'm in too. I am about 80% sure that I will accept.
  4. Your grades and strength of undergraduate institution alone look good enough for acceptance into BU. I think acceptance to the other 3 schools will depend on how well you perform on the GRE.
  5. The thread on the link above was closed because it clogged up the system on that site. Is TM able to handle this?

  10. I am waiting as well. Hoping for a miracle that I get in.
  11. i really hope there are success stories out there. My under grad gpa sucks (3.0). And I got a C in one of the grad classes I took a few years ago (I got A's in the other 3 classes). I'm worried that I'm wasting my time going through the who app process. My only prayer is an 800Q. But it seems many others on this site have the same so that doesn't give me much hope.
