  1. Hey bugibugi7, 1) The English of the professors are O.K. All of them did the Ph.D abroad (mainly in UK or USA), so it shouldn't be a big issue. Spanish is never required in the program. All the courses are in English, and you also teach undergraduates in English (it is part of the scholarship duties to teach). 2) About applying to Ph.D programs, it is not very common to do so. I first here one single case this year: the guy was admitted to UCLA and Brown, both with funding. But I tell you, here is not common to do the master here and leave to the Ph.D in other place. The master is designed for those who want to stay to the Ph.D. It is not really worth it to come to UC3M and do only the master...
  2. I am a current student at UC3M, and as long as I know, they do not cut your money without reason. They do it only in few situations, and this is when people fail more than 2 courses in the first year (they will not renew your scholarship for the 2nd year), or they stop attending class. Not everybody who enters the master is allowed to continue to the Ph.D - you should have the sum of grades above 0 ( A=+1, B=0, C=-1, D=-2 ), and shouldn't fail more than 1 course in the first year. For those who like Econometrics, I strongly recommend UC3M.
  3. Nice university if you are interested in Econometrics - specially Time series and Nonparametrics.
