  1. @applicant12: yes, BGSE! @zillux your funding is from an external source? You are only a MRes student in the second year, after finishing the BGSE's Msc and be admitted to the UPF PhD. That means 1 Year MSc + 1 Year MRes + 3 years PhD. They don't said anything about changing to a 2 MRes + 3 PhD structure. There is only speculation because of the end of the Master in the advanced studies.
  2. Another question: It is difficult to be admitted to the Phd program? On average how many students follow the PhD track? Do you have to choose some specific courses to proceed? (I mean the advanced ones) I am holding an offer to the MSc Economics program (probably going to attend anyway) and they actually fit my interests perfectly, so I am considering staying for the PhD.
  3. Mine too. Expected, though.
  4. Congratulations JerseyGuy! I have spoken with you about QEM, remember? Glad you got a better offer. I also declined QEM... thinking in attend BGSE.
  5. I also have received this... Waitlist?
  6. I know a friend who has been rejected recently... However they also didn't send nothing to me. Next week I am going to bomb their email.
  7. Decided, I am going to Sao Paulo. If I don't get the score, I can re-do again in my city. The changes made for the GRE revised affect the Paper Based test too? Or it stays the same?
  8. Hey guys, I am planning do my GRE test in two or three months... The problem is that in my city (in Brazil) I can only do the Paper Based test. However I can easily travel to São Paulo (I have a place to stay there) to do the Computer Based. I am aiming a good score in the quantitative part (the verbal part is not that important to me although if I achieve a nice grade would be great). Usually I don't have problems with the math of GRE. BUT (and this is a big but) I often need a lot of time to resolve the questions (need to practice more the shortcuts). I heard that the despite the paper based has easier questions, you have much less time. This is true? Someone here did both tests? My decision is to travel ($$$) and do the CBT (which I think I can have a better grade) or stay in my city, save the money and do the PBT. Another thing is that I can do the CBT in october, for the PBT I need to wait until november (more time to re-do the test if I don't get the score that I want). So, what would you guys do? And it is true the difference between PBT and CBT?
