  1. toefl2011, my inbox is about 4/5 empty! I think I can recieve PM. Smiley1982, I'm still studying for the MPJE. I think the LA board book is enough for the state part. Not sure if it's enough for the whole test! I've not purchased any books for the federal part yet. I'm actually tired of buying books! :orange: I think I'll download the Pharmacist manual and print it out.
  2. Hi toefl2011, I replied to your private message regarding that on 11/27. The board will not send you anything but the board will send the NABP the ok that you can take the NAPLEX and the LA MPJE. So what you need to do is register on the NABP and pay the fees for the NAPLEX and the MPJE. You don't have to pay both at the same time. If you have any doubts that you may not have fulfilled the eligibility requirement of LA board regarding taking those tests, then BEFORE paying for the tests on NABP, give the LA a call as I did and tell them that you sent your application to them and that you wanna make sure that you are eligible to take the tests and ask if they had sent the approval to the NABP. I took my naplex few weeks ago. Passed with God's grace with a very good score. Regarding what ur coworker told you about the LA MPJE, if that's true then it's a good news but I think we still need to read the federal laws. It's true that the LA laws is on the website but how will u study that online! I don't know about you but I need a hard copy in my hands to underline and highlight so I bought the printed copy in a folder for $40. I had to!! :orange: Best of Luck!
  3. I've not logged in for a few days! My test is in less than two weeks and before Christmas. I'm trying to focus in my reading. Still studying the state law and haven't started the federal yet! Thanks for the encouraging...I do believe in prayers!
  4. Thanks marvel135, I'm taking it for the state of Louisiana. I really don't know how much the federal part of the test is! I read everybody talking about studying the federal laws regarding controlled substances really well but do you mind asking you what do you study about them?!! It's such a busy season and I find it hard to concentrate and study a lot of the details that may not be important for the test so I'm trying to figure out what are the most important things that I should know! Thanks for the help and God bless
  5. My test is coming up and I don't have any idea what to study for the federal part of the MPJE!! Someone told me to print out this 85 pages PDF for the DEA Pharmacist Manual and that it's enough for the the federal part of the test. http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/manuals/pharm2/pharm_manual.pdf Is that true? and is that the right link? Please help! Thanks
  6. I don't think anyone knows exactly how it's scored. Relax and pray. You will make it! Were your profiles very long? How was the time with you?

    MY Naplex

Best of luck to you. Mine is coming up soon, too!
  8. Hi toefl2011, sorry for the delay. I have been so busy lately! I think I shouldn't recommend anything until I take and pass naplex but anyways I'm using pronto pass and Comprehensive pharmacy review for the naplex. I have used CPR when I was preparing for FPGEE and it has my side notes, highlighed, comparisons,....etc so using it again was very natural! I wouldn't use such a big text book for the NAPLEX if it was my first time using it. For the LA MPJE, I'll order the 272 page book from the LABP Louisiana board. Some people told me u have to read it all. I know nothing about the federal yet. When r u taking MPJE? Will you use different sources?!
  9. I guess that's just wishful thinking!:dejected:
  10. Is it possible that most of them don't count for the score?!
  11. Good luck for you toefl2011 and smiley1982. I'm taking NAPLEX first then MPJE shortly after. My advise is try to ABSORB as much as possible during your intern hours. Don't just pass the time but try to learn as much about the medications around you in the pharmacy. Brand and generic names, dosage forms, uses,....etc. That will help. I know how hard it is to study in the evening with kids around you cuz I have that too! Just try as much as you can and start preparing early. I think you should not waste your time with exhausting materials like APHA, a lot are saying it's an over kill
  12. This informationn is not on their website but they send you that shocking info enclosed with your intern license. I know that from my experience. And did I mention that the one year frame starts from the issue date not from the reciept of that letter! And they usually mail to you 3-4 weeks later so by the time you get it, you already lost a month of that year!!! The license is not renewable but you might be able to get a ONE-TIME only, VERY SHORT extension if you are able to show a very strong reason that prevented you from getting all the requirments in one year. "I couldn't prepare for my tests in such a short time", is not a valid one to the board!!:miserable:
  13. I think two ID forms not one. I'm not sure!
  14. Louisiana allows you to take the tests anytime during that year. You can even take the tests the first month after you get your intern license!! But who can be ready for them without clinical experience?!!! Crazy, isn't it?
  15. If you are a foreign graduate, Louisiana gives you one year from the day they issue you your intern license and after that year, all the hours that you earned during that year shall expire so basically you need to earn your intern hours and pass Naplex and MPJE within 365 days of the day they issue you your intern license!
