  1. Hi sitcus. It's definitely a R.Ph (registered pharmacist), as you've passed all your exams and is a licensed pharmacist (congratulations!). I'm not sure what your masters degree of pharmacy will translate into, here in the U.S. The Pharm.D is a 6 year degree here.
  2. Hey! I hope this message gets to you, since the thread started awhile ago. We all get into those moments when we're stuck. It happens, and if someone told you it never happened to them - well unless they're a robot, it will happen to them and it's just a matter of time. Studying is all about motivation and sometimes it's hard to maintain that motivation and focus when there are many stress factors. What you need to know is, that what you're doing now is not indicative of how you will be in the outside world. Some of the worst students in school are the best pharmacists in practice. Have you considered new studying habits? How about group studying, or tutoring? You need to try new ways of studying. When we get older, it's difficult to just sit in class and absorb the material. Passive learning is for younger children, when they just absorb by listening or watching. As grown ups, we have to find other means of learning. I remember using color pencils and drawing every orgo chem reaction with it. That was how I managed through that class. I even bought clay and started making models. How about reciting your notes? If you speak your notes out loud, it helps you process the information too. Often times when you write it over and over again, you see it on paper but it's not really realized in your mind. Make the words real by speaking it. You are having a mental fatigue moment, it's not a shut down unless you give up. So, don't give up and keep on trying!
  3. I have called NABP before to inquire about re-scoring. It's pretty much useless because it's not done by hand.. it's done by computer and they just run your score through again. I was advised that it wouldn't be any helpful nor would it change my score at all if I did the re-scoring.
  4. Like New 2014 RxPrep coursebook for sale. Unwritten, no missing pages. Sustained some water damage (rain). Asking: $85 (Sold for over $160 on Amazon and RxPrep site) - Shipping by me priority mail, or we meet if nearby. Please PM if interested.
  5. Can you post the link of where you found that APHA claims calculations for CrCl going by actual body weight?
  6. Hi Sd, I would like to study along with you. I want to take Naplex by the end of Jan or early Feb of 2014. I don't have a mic, nor do I want to speak on Skype so I hope whoever joins us won't mind. I would type my responses to the group as they speak.
  7. Hey Moonlight. To my knowledge, the answers for the math are within a range to compensate for the different numbers people are using. So if you use 473ml (which I do) or 480ml, if you answer is within that range you should be fine. As for the CrCl, I would calculate for adjusted weight.
  8. Hello, I wanted to ask for advice from those who are more knowledgeable than me about how to become successful at passing Naplex. I have taken Naplex four times and did not pass them. I have one more attempt before the 5-limit is reached. I study by making flash cards, writing the notes, and even reading out loud to help me memorize the content. I have used the SDN 120 calculations, RxPrep book, PassNaplexNow question bank, APHA book, and the Pharmacylibrary question bank. I scored a 72 the first time, 68 next, then 74 and now a 65. Each time I felt I didn't know a particular topic and it was on my exam, so I studied that and in my next exam if I saw those questions I was able to answer them. Does anyone have any advice for me? I'm very depressed about this because I graduated over a year ago now and this is haunting me. Thank you.
