  1. Hey cooldude, one can not score more that 100% otherwise u would have done that :) Congrats and best of luck.
  2. Hi, I gave my GRE last Friday, my score is not very good but I am just hoping that the local university here should accept it. I am posting here because I want to share few thoughts with all of you. I was very avarage student and when I graduated I was afraid of GRE. I used to think that GRE is something impossible for me. But today I changed my mind about myself and about GRE. One can do it with lot of hard work. Those who are doubtful about giving GRE please give one try to yourself, it may change your life. If I can do it anyone can do it, belive me I never dd Math after my 10th but still I will say give atleast one try. The only thing is Hard work. This TM is amazing. It is very helpful for AWA section. Post your essay here regardless of how bad it is, you will definately improve. Thanks Erin. Barron's is The Best for rest of the sections. Thanks to those who commented on my essays and answered my questions. I felt I am not alone here and will not mind retaking it. Next month I am gonna enjoy Diwali with my cute little daughter and rest of the family in India. Wish you all Happy Diwali. Thanks of reading this post.

  8. hi rashmi, I was waiting for your post. congrats! what was yr issue and argument topic... Anything more you remember about Q/V ....pl guide us..... thanks and congrats once again...
  9. hey moon, after reading your essay i understand what the topic is. what you wrote is very good. i agree with tans ...just explain the examples more clearly like traffic laws and laws against theft...if some one does not follow traffic laws like speed limit or etc it will cause accidents....and so on .... For unjust law the examples can be Mahatma Gandhiji' non-violance movement against British laws or Nelson Mandal's work for freedom of african people against racism... which gave him Noble prize..... otherwise your essay has coverd everything... trying to collect the points as much as possible so that at the time of exam at least we don't have to think from scrach.... Once again all the Best moon and rashmi......
  10. Hey tans this is a very good essay. I think it will surely get more than 3.5... Every point is clearly explained with good examples. Can you please explain me the first topic... as I am not getting what the topic is...
  11. Please suggest some quick 4-5 point on following topics... 1.There are two types of laws just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a resposibility to obey just laws and even more importantly to disobey and resist unjust law. 2. To truly understand your culture---no matter how you define it---requires personal knowledge of atleast one other culture, one that is distinctly different than yours. 3.People in positions of power are most effective when they exercise caution and restraint in the use of that power. thanks in advance
  12. Hey Rashmi that was wonderful! where r u from? seeking admission in which field? All the best...
  13. Hey cooldude, this is amazing. Can you share with us what comes in your mind when you just look at a topic? What you think for first 3-5 min and how do you manage to write pointwise in such a short time? How do you crack it?
  14. Don't be disappointed r2kins. One thing for sure they need pharmacy students... now a days these are one of the hightest paid jobs as per CNN. As you said schools of your choice is also important thing but i will suggest really check what are the requirements for pharmacy admission before retaking... I like your never say die atitude..Don't worry... you wiil be fine...
  15. It is too good. I wrote on the same topic some 3 days back but.....:-( This is really good.
  16. Hi Tans, I like your essay. Good use of vocab with simple and nice language. It is convincing and shows lot of improvement. I know I am way behind all of you and can not write like this. Tans you try very difficult topics. Do you select them from GRE.org pool? Cooldude, i think this is more than enough as u were able to say what u want to...
  17. Best of luck tans, rashmi, moon, azzkik.... When is yours bigduke?
  18. Hey. Can you all count me in as I am also in the same boat..(gre within 2 weeks) Thanks.
  19. You are really coooool dude. your essay is very convincing and I realize why I was thinking that something is missing there is because my point of view is against the author's statement. I can not even write 0.0.....1% like you do in 45 min, and i think i will never be able to do. I will rate it 6 for sure....
  20. "The arts (music, dance, visual arts, etc.) are vitally important to students’ education and should therefore receive as much emphasis as mathematics, science, reading and other mainstream subjects." Imagine a world without music and dance only big advance machines and robots around us, there is no cultural life, no entertainment, all the people are either scientist or doctor or mathematicians. This seems to be very exaggerated imagination but if everybody is encourage to study science and math then this imagination will soon become a reality. I agree that the arts (music, dance, visual arts, etc.) are vitally important to students’ education. Music, dance and visual art not only entertain us but also depict the cultural and traditional values. Paintings are the representation of history. Leonardo da vinci was not only a great scientist but also a painter and musician was famous all over the world for his paintings sculptures They depict the intellectual as well as artistic sense of that genre. Sometimes we go to a tourist place to spend some leisurely time with nature, but there are many things we ignore and which are visualize by a painter. They give us different perspective of seeing the same thing. Cartoonist are the best critics who shows us today’s ugly competition for power in a humorous way. Music is a integral part of our life. Since childhood we learn our ABC through nursery rhymes. As we grow older we come across many different types of music. When someone is exhausted because of work he gets his energy back by listing music or if someone is feeling morose gets mood change by music. Now-a-days people who learned music as a hobby but became an electrical or electronics engineer by profession are utilizing there engineering knowledge to incorporate electrical guitar or many electronics instruments. Today Michael Jackson, Pandit Ravi shankar are the greatest entertainer. They have devoted their life to worship music. In many countries people celebrate their festivals by singing traditional songs so music also represent the cultural values of that country. Science and math has given us advance technology which has simplified our life but for recreational purpose, to keep our traditional values, art is equally important. So the science and math these main streams represents the modernization but the art represent the civilization. Art maintains the aesthetic sense of society. so the students are encourage to study arts to perpetuate these cultural values.

Hi, It seems that you all are having problem in verbal only but i am worst than that as i am having problem in quantitatve also......cheer up guys do u know any website for Q practise... Is there any full length test other than powerpre....
  22. Thanks cooldude, I really appreciate your comments.
  23. Hi there, You gave a good try for this topic. But i don't understant why anyone can't learn about the deletrious impact of atom bomb on humane society through any internet search engine. If anyone is curious enough to know about AIDS in liabrary then he will definately do that detail search on internet as it is availble quickly. Same with the media example, why anyone will think that the information gained from media is enough for job-interview. your approch to this topic is not bad, the examples will be internet or media but still something is missing. Will you comment a line or two on my essay please ....
