I am a case writer and do not think that writing a business case will help your application. Professor will look you as a frustrated journalist. By the way I have written more than 20 teaching cases and have been rejected from 6 programs this year although having a competitive GMAT and strong LORs. Just waiting for the last 2 rejection letters to arrive. Avoid that option and work on a research.
