So i finally accepted an offer from INSEAD and withdrew my application from elsewhere. I guess if you are sure about the school, an early decision would do a great deal of good to people wait-listed at other schools. any other folks going to INSEAD ??? would be great to connect

Ok. So I got waitlisted in my top choice program(Top 10 otherwise). Doesnot feel that Good. However I got a very encouraging email from the co-ordinator that their decision has more to do with managing diversity in their program. He said they really-really like my profile and it was a close call.So close that he asked the dean for an extra PhD place for the department. He wants to be able to extend me an offer but depends on how the wait-lists in the other areas/departments progress. It leaves me a bit confused. I have an offer from a mid tier university and awaiting results from another top 10. I know that the PhDs are centrally funded in many schools. Does his statement in short imply that Probability(me getting in) = Probability( Some one from other department declines) * Probability( wait-lists at their respective dep are either unavailable/ decline too). Ob this assumes that the probability of two students selected in my program attending is 1. A2A--Xanthus, tmAssociate

Hmm..ya I think I'll keep columbia ieor for the lack of any better options..let's sit back and wait..

The interviewer at kellog told me that they were still in the process of interviewing and it would take some more time. however, I see many posts on GC about the accepts. I dont think its a rolling process or is it?? Thought i would definately make it. surprizing enough :upset:

Stochastic Modelling and Optimization.No,Not yet..i had two interviews with them..dont think i got through..:/ .. Do you have an idea what percentage of people who are interviewed get through and the final number of accepts? i see 4 posts on GC already.
