I got two admissions of PhD program. I want to know which one is better with respect to the training of program, especially placement. It seems that French students graduated from ESSEC could get placement in French business school, I don't know if a Chinese student could have a good placement in France. For HKU, most students go to China mainland. Don't know if it is possible to stay in HK or go to Europe after PhD. Thank you.

I want to know how to choose between asset pricing and mutual fund investment performance. Fund performance seems to be easier, could PhD in fund performance go to mutual fund company? What about asset pricing, would this topic in financial market more helpful both in academic and in industries?

Hong Kong business schools (HKU, HKUST) rank very high in UTD with respect to their research output in top journals. But the placement is very bad compared to other universities with the similar ranking or lower ranking. HK business schools seem to only place their graduates to mainland China. I am also particularly confused and want to know if it is possible to get a position in Europe after graduating from HKUST or HKU.
