  1. i thought the greatest divisor was five. Why 35?
  2. I think you need more than a week to study for this test.

There's nothing wrong with Scoretop. Their questions are collectables from the Internet, nothing else. You can do a search for gmat questions on the Internet and get the same results. If you have your doubts, then don't waste your money.
  4. I feel for you. That's exactly where my weakness is. Never mind the fact that I can score 40+ in verbal or that I understand math all the way up the wazoo to trig and calculus. Or the fact that I scored a 5.5 on the AWA. I am as dumb as a stump when it comes to those annoying DS questions regarding number properties. I always have a tiny heart attack when I click on the "confirm your answer" and then see a DS #properties question. Half the math test must be DS # properties. Then, when it's all over, I finish with the same 530. The last time I felt so embarrassed when that score was printing out at the front desk... Anyway, I finally upped the money and hired a tutor to fill me in on the big secret as I am extremely desperate at this point.
  5. Why would you contact a credit agency for GMAT information? Anyway, GMAT is the name of the exam - ETS is the company that currently administers the exam. Starting in January of 2006, ACT/Pearson will give the GMAT. By the way, the questions are developed by GMAC, not ETS or ACT. Therefore you dont' have to worry about the contents changing. The questions belong to GMAC. (gmac.com)
  6. Schools only get to see your last 3 scores, or so I heard...
  7. I took another test after that experience, and I didn't run into those questions. I think that those questions come up on a rotational basis - sometimes one unlucky person will get them, sometimes not.
  8. David Petersam, Why are you ignoring my post? You preach to schools to strictly accept applications from those individuals who've acheived high GMAT scores, right? To you, it doesn't matter what their other credentials are - just as long as you keep that big GMAT padlock to maintain an era of exclusivity - consisting of those who have (and had) the financial resources to educate themselves properly from the beginning of time. Don't you know that it's very difficult for people to score high on these exams if they've been taught in schools that have lacked the appropriate financial resources? It doesn't take 6 months or even 2 years to get a 700 on the GMAT if you've never had money and you currently do not have money. But of course, you wouldn't know that - you probably grew up in a prestigious neighbhorhood with educated parents who shielded you from "bad people". (To everyone else - David Petersam asked me to hire a consultant from his business in order to have me seek "alternative career goals". Then he has the nerve to post on Business Week's forums that people who can't achieve a high GMAT score are retarded. I will cut and paste the evidence for you as soon as I find it.)
  9. I know exactly what you are talking about!! I had that same exact quant section - what a nightmare! Some weird std deviation with a temperature conversion and a probability concerning a number in the millions. I almost had a heart attack when I saw those questions - what's going on around here, I thought to myself! I immediately cancelled my scores even though I rocked the AWA. A complete waste of money if you ask me.
  10. I think that you should study with the Official Guide to the GMAT (OG). Best wishes, and I hope you get a very good score! :)
  11. I've never heard of anyone getting more than 4 RC's in the GMAT. And as far as 3 RC's I wish that happened to me!:D
  12. Hi David, I am curious about GMAT scores. WHile some universities claim that they do not have mimimun GMAT scores, it seems as if this is really not the case. Some universities claim to be entirely holistic when evaluating applications. Do you think that this is true? Or do they just want to get application numbers up to statistically seem as if they are desireable? Also, even though I do not have East Indian heritage, I'm curious about the 90% rejection rate. In the US, does it matter if Indians become citizens - in other words, is the rejection rate or competition still as high for those citizens?
  13. In my opinion, all of their books are worth buying - especially the number properties and the word problems books.
  14. Hey heike! Congrats on your score and goal achievement!
  15. that's ridiculous, the Red Sox and the Yankees wouldn't be playing a World Series game - they'd just be competing for the American League Championship Division. :p
  16. I dont think that there is such thing. We post questions randomly on this sight when we have a question about one of them.
  17. Yes - remember that MGMAT is a business just like Kaplan and Princeton. If their exams are hard it's because they want you to ace the gmat so that they can claim that their services are better than Kaplan and/or Princeton.
  18. Is x > k? 1. 2^x multiplied by 2^k=4 2. 9^x multiplied by 3^k = 81
  19. I would go with A - even though "being" is normally wrong. But I pick A because the other options really do not make sense.
  20. yes, A is the OA. I was confused because it does look a little awkward. But ajay explained it well.
  21. The answer is definitely....B :grad:
